  1. go with sufix.i would never use anything lighter than 12/50 on a casting reel.the thicker line helps prevent digging in.
  2. In addition Sufix doesn't fray like Powerpro. i forgot that part.
  3. smoother less noise rounder and doesn't dig as bad because of it better quality control (i've had spools of powerpro where the line is not uniformly smooth through out) less wind knots
  4. imho sufix braid blows powerpro away.any place your gonna fish braid you won't need a leader.
  5. best handling flouro = segurar invizx best handling mono = cajun red cast i treat all lines with kvd line and lure spray
  6. i know guys who alternate green and black like on a camo jacket.
  7. there is no way this line is invisible.you cannot make a braid invisible.regular braid with black marker is as good as it gets.
  8. a lot of reels have plastic parts.the gear for the line guide is almost always plastic.the reason for this is if your guide jams because you didin't clean your reel it will strip the plastic gear instead of doing other damage.it's kind of like a fuse.i have 2 rick clunns which are almost the same reel as yours.i love them.i think the externally adjustable magnetic/centrifugal hybrid brake is the best design i've seen yet.
  9. i really don't consider a senko a weightless plastic because it has so much salt in it it's far from weightless.
  10. the big boys are one stiff rod.they are also close to unbreakable.
  11. a weightless power worm would be much better off thrown on spinning gear.
  12. DOESN'T SCRATCH THE ROD WHEN YOU DO WHAT I SAID. ;D
  13. if you have a trigger rods without a hook keepers just drill a 1/8 hole through the triggers and now you have hook keepers.this works great.
  14. are you fishing in rocks?braid will cut on rocks easily.use a palomar knot with crazy glue so your knot won't slip.other than rocks i have never seen braid snap on a hookset.
  15. that didn't last long.they are $119 again.
  16. I gotta agree with my buddy Dodge, if the humidity brings overcast skies, then the bite is usually a lot more consistent, and the bass are usually up. what's up joel?thus us a great site.
  17. high humidty = overcast at most times = great fishing.
  18. exactly, which causes it to be extremely hard to see.so unless a bass has a red filter on his eyeball like a photographer would on a camerea then the chances are it can't see it either.even if they can see it i have never had a problem catching fish on it in shallow water.i think the red attracts them or at the very least they aren't scared of it.
  19. the red theory is not a theory it is a fact.there are underwater photgraphy studies that prove it.google it and find out.red line becomes much less visible as it sinks.weather or not it makes a difference if your line is invisible to a fish is a theory.
  20. fish looks bigger here.
  21. maybe your brothers lure movements in the water are like his movements out of water.try a more erratic presentation.
  22. like i said,in shallow water they can see red.
  23. bass see extremely well at night.they just take a while for their eyes to adjust.the bite at night gets good approx 1.5 hours after it gets dark because their eyes have adjusted.
  24. that fish would be 6 if it was fat!!!i kept 1 this year.
  25. THE BAITS YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT ARE FISHED IN the upper water column.red does not fully disaapear depending on water clarity sometims until 15 feet.it actually turns grey.the translucent line disapears quicker than a solid red lure.in other words red lures below 15 feet appear black/grey as do red hooks.so if the water is slightly discolored the grey becomes hard to see.when red is shallow it is visible and can attract bass.
