  1. what kind of line?do the weights move?
  2. ok,now i see it.i've never used that style before.i would remind you that the centrifugal brake only works on the front of the cast then backs off.if you are backlashing in the middle or end of the cast you need more thumb or more spool tension.
  3. the stradic is the reel that the name shimbindo comes from.
  4. supposedly the woo daves rods are the actions he prefers when he fishes.
  5. so judging buy your blurry pictures there is no dial adjustment.it looks like the red things on the spool are the brake weights.you push them inward until thet click to shut them off and pull them out to turn them on.
  6. from an ex shimbindo man i say get the supreme.or go for the newer supreme. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_98349_100001002_100000000_100001000_100-1-2
  7. look what the cat dragged in?ROFLMAO!!!when did you get here dude?and yes,mike d. is da man!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D
  8. take a picture of both sides of the cover and post it.can you get a cleaer picture than the one you have?
  9. if it has a dial it is not centrifugal it is magnetic.do you have the cast control knob by the handle set properly?
  10. add the patriarch and asaro to this list.all premo reels for the $.
  11. probably the absolute best value for the $ out there!!!
  12. wiser words were never spoken!!!
  13. there is no way a centrifugal brake can just stop working.do you have the weights in the on position?
  14. i would have stayed with pflueger.if you wanted a better reel go up pflueger's line.
  15. Have you compared this with PowerPro? I have only used PowerPro (well unless you count original Spiderwire and Raptor line back in the 90's), and am curious about other braids, but I'm perfectly satisfied with my current braid. Of course, if there are significant benefits to Sufix I'll try it out... i used power pro for years.it doesn't compare to sufix.sufix smoothness and quality control is far better.
  16. braid would resist backlash the best.a limp mono would be the least sensitive but a goood all round line.flouro depends on which one you get and how you spool it on.i spool it on in hot water then treat it with kvd line and lure spray.best lines imho are braid = sufix performance braid flouro = seguar invizx mono = cajun red cast
  17. merry christams.God bless you and your family.you are a true hero and my family and i thank you for your service!!!
  18. exactly the reason i use a 31 inch pickup spinning reel.because they hold on so long the chances of gut hooking goes up a lot.with a high speed reel you can take up slack and hammer them before they swallow it down.
  19. i have a bunch of friends who swear by them.they are a very nice rod and from what i know they will put different guides and stuff on if you want them.
  20. the higher pound tests also resist digging into your spool better.it also takes less braid to fill the spool.it also brings you into the same diameters as mono lines so the lift on your bait due to the line will be similar.65 pound sufix is like 17 pound mono.this is nice for keeping your rattletraps up above the weeds.
  21. i love the hump.i think hand size has to do with it.sand paper would shrink it.
  22. johnny moris rods are as good as any other.bps makes there own rods per bps.they say they have there own factories where the blanks are made.
  23. it works exactly like a shimano centrifugal brake.when the pins are out they are unlocked and working.when the pins are pushed in they are locked and not working.
