  1. it's not a gimmick.study underwater photography and you will find out it's far from a gimmick.i have posted numerous links that prove it to be true.if you do a search you can find them.red is the first color to disappear and blend in with the water color.you need a red filter to photograph it and see it after this happens.bass do not have red filters on their eyes.
  2. %100 correct
  3. why not?ken whiting is an award winning rod builder.he makes good stuff.not that croix isn't good but there are other alternatives. St.Croix is celebrating 60 years designing/building rods.. Roll a graphite inner core, (in reality the core of the blank is still graphite cloth wrapped just like every one else's with the outer part being dipped), now dip the core into some colored nano fibers (The orange color which is supposed to be because the material is made out of carrots is actually added. When carrots are ground up and exposed to the air, they turn brown). Now paint it right, display it just so, then light it up for the judges and what do you get "A Carrot Stix winning best of show at ICAST... So far all I've been impressed with is their marketing scheme. From Tom Kirkman: i never said st. croix didn't make a good rod.i would buy one in a minute.they have one of the best warranties going.ken whiting is no slouch either.
  4. gotta dissagree.cajun red cast is awesome.
  5. why not?ken whiting is an award winning rod builder.he makes good stuff.not that croix isn't good but there are other alternatives.the carrot stick won best in show at icast.
  6. i suggest fishing it.bass usually survive and multiply.i guarantee there are other species in there also.you nhave no idea how many ponds people tell me there are no fish in and i catch 5 lbers out of.

  8. with jigs of that weight a mh is more than enough.good choice!!!
  9. I'M SAVING MY MONEY FOR A PATRIARCH NOW!!!
  10. muddy,i gotta dissagree.it's one of the best rods made bar none imho.nice sensitive blank with the best reel seat made and fuji titanium sic guides for that price is an outrageous bargain.
  11. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_58451_100002006_100000000_100002000_100-2-6 it's a no brainer at this price!!!
  12. love ya mike!!!
  13. why does it have to be like a cumara to be an answer to it?if you go by that we couldn't compare a lot of rods and reels.it's different by the reel seat then the lamiglas.years ago i know a guy who had a rod made that way so the concept isn't that new.he loved the sensitivity of the rod.i would be worried about how well these skelital reel seats hold the reels.
  14. a reel at $79 that is item # 38-350-760-00 is no way going to be the same reel as a reel for $179 item # 38-350-508-00 .it is a johnny morris signature series reel but it is a totally different model.no different from jeep having a grand cherrokee with a 6.1 hemi for $40000 or a grand cherokee for $30000 with a 3.7 v6.
  15. you guys are getting your panties all bound up over nothing.over the years different versions of jm reels have been made and probably will continue to be made.the reels you are talking about look like new versions of older reels from previous years.either way they look nothing like the top of the line jm reels now produced.how we could confuse them is beyond me.
  16. that reel is a leftover from a few years back.no where does it say it's the current model.that was the previous design of that reel before this one came out but it is a signature series reel.
  17. at the very least i would get a bass pro tourney special when they go on sale for $29.99
  18. saltiga is supposed to be the same as samurai.it get's it's name from salt - iga and is supposedly made by diawa.
  19. we've been through mk's pflueger bashing before.funny thing is he's never used the products.
  20. 65 lb sufix.i have also heard diawa braid is fantastic.it is an 8 strand braid where sufix is 6 and pp is 4.this makes it very smooth and castable.
  21. the trion was every bit as good as a curado and at a better price.
  22. the stradic is the reel that gave the shimbindo name.when they get wet some of them bind and shimbindo refused to fix them.the answer would be no to your question.
  23. 1)send it to pflueger 2)try to figure out why the weights aren't working if that is the problem
  24. go spend $5 on a spool of cajun red cast or $7 on a spool of trilene xl and see if it casts any better.if not then something must be wrong with your reel.is it in warranty?
  25. fireline sucks on a bc reel imho.if the weights are coming out they should be working.try at least 50 lb sufix braid or cajun red cast.are you sure the fireline isn't digging in?
