  1. i think my bps rick clunns with the hybrid brake cast great.actually better than my trion or president which are also good.i have noticed line has a lot to do with it.
  2. less centrifugal brakes = possible backlash at front of cast.if you want more distance loosen the spool tension and use more thmb as needed.the pfluegers generally need more centrifugal brake than a shimano ime.
  3. right on.i hate people who knock products they have never used.you should at least borrow a friends and fish with it before you form an opinion.
  4. the guys i know who have used it love it.
  5. seaguar invizx.
  6. flouro will last a season.braid will last years.cajun red cast will last 3/4 of a season.this is if you use a product like kvd line and lure spray on the line.
  7. pflueger trion round reels are the best deal out there in round reels.
  8. According to who at BPS???? it says so in their catalogs.
  9. according to bps they make there own top end rods.
  10. looks like mine except mines the blue denny brauer model.great bags.
  11. get a cabela's super magnum.they are also available in waterproff versions.
  12. i use a 5-6 pistol grip for spinnerbaits and rattle traps when i want extreme accuracy casting.as for a reel i would get a pfluger narrow spool trion or a rick clunn bps reel.both are $99.
  13. i love bps rods and the johnny morris rods are as good as any out there.i have 2 rick clunn baitcasters with the hybrid centrifugal/magnetic brake.imho this is the best system made.
  14. i am going to get one of them.

  16. how can we possibly believe braid can be invisible?
  17. i use a 4000 size spinning reel for 10 lb line.advantages are less line twist do to bigger spool and a heavier drag.the reel will also take more abuse because everything inside is beefier.over 10 pound line i use a baitcaster.
  18. it helps with stopping throwing loops on the spool but not line twist.
  19. i'm waiting until they make a narrow spool version.
  20. what redline said!!!
  21. johnny morris signature series 6-6 mh or a 7-6 bionic blade mh flipping stick.

  23. it does cause wear on the internals somewhat.i've learned to cast with no spool tension and use just the brake and my thumb.you will cast furthur doing this and put less wear on your reel.a lot of times the washer in the tension knob will pit and make noise casting.a lot of reels you can flip it over oil it up and reuse.
  24. Well thats really not a fair try. I put some on A spinning reel and some on a Bait Caster, and used them for about a month. Wasn't impressed, especially on the spinning reel, lot's of memory and coil. I used the same reel ( I have 2 Presidents) with Cabela's proline much more sucessfuly, which is the line I have been using for years. Cajun Red just didnt add up and cost twice as much :-[ more than likely you bought red lightening instead of red cast.red lightening stinks.
