  1. you should never have to pick out a braid backlash.push your thumb down on the spool and reel in against your thumb pressure.release the spool and pull line out.repeat as needed.i have not had to pick out a backlash in a long time.picks damage line.this method works for all lines.
  2. kvd won a bassmaster classic using flouro on a jerkbait.it's not like the line is as heavy as a sinker.
  3. a picture is worth a 1000 words!!!
  4. i just reread the article.the abrasion resitance was a dry test.the xl lost %56 of it's abrasion resistance when wet.the flouros did not including the invizx.this puts it's real resistance way better than xl.it also had the absolute best knot strength out of any of them. 5. Dodgeguy, The fact that invisx doesn't behave like fluoro is probably a RED flag! According to a line study conducted by TackleTour, Seaguar Invisx was the absolute worst performing fluorocarbon of the bunch. The abrasion-resistance of Seaguar Invisx was 35% "worse" than Trilene XL (nylon mono). As though that weren't bad enough, Seaguar Invisx was also the very worst for stretch-resistance, demonstrating 38% MORE stretch than Trilene XL (nylon mono). Roger i don't believe those results are entirely valid.try a spool and see for yourself.i've used trilene xl and it's like a rubberband.invizx is not.also i fish cranks over some of the nasteiset rocks around and invizx holds up wonderfully.trilene xl does not.it does have more stretch than most flouro but that doesn't bother me.
  6. nice,light,beautifull reel.
  7. pflueger preident narrow spool.
  8. i hope they buy shimano and diawa also!!!then we can say that they are all made by the same company!!!ROFLMAO!!! ;D
  9. the shorter the rod the more accuracy you get.control the line by putting your index finger against the spool to feather it.
  10. i forgot about them and add diawa steez rods.
  11. i use seguar invizx on spinning and baitcasting.it works great.i hated flouro until i found this line.it is the most mangable fluro i've used.flouro is worth it as long as you don't kink it bad on a backlash.a bad kink will damage any flouro line.other than that it should outlast mono.it is more sensitive than mono.
  12. very well thought out points.so as far as for bass rods that just about leaves lamiglass,st.croix and loomis as the only 3 whose lifetime warranty means lifetime.

  14. they are way to heavy imho.i would go with a bass pro shops tourney special first.or better yet save up your money for a bionic blade.
  15. as far as i know from when they first came out i heard they make their own rods.
  16. I DON'T GET IT.IMHO RED CAST IN THE SAME POUND TEST IS LIMPER THAN ANY OTHER LINE I KNOW OF INCLUDING TRILENE XL.oops, sorry about the caps lock being on!!! ;D
  17. and grey becomes very hard to see in water.even in clear water grey will not stand out when you have other objects in the water.like i've said before, you have to study underwater photography to get it.
  18. red hooks reflect light so you get a red flash in shallow water.down deep they turn black so they are useless on deep cranks.red line is translucent so light passes through it.red is the first color of light to go away.the line then becomes greyish.being that most water is not gin clear the grey line disappears into the water.i caught the most fish ever in a season on red cast line.i am in my second season with flouro to see if i do any better.
  19. good to see you back on the board jt!!!
  20. i used smelly jelly crawfish scent for years and it worked good.this year i'm going with megastrike. i started with it last year and it's much less messy and i think it's as good or better than smelly jelly.i will let you guys know how i feel after this season.
  21. ther was a poll fo braids on here recently and sufix won with %42.i suggest sufix.
  22. i own a rod with recoils.i use flouro on it.won't use braid with it because i saw the pictures.the guy who owned the rod is duane richards commonly know as dr.he uses powerpro exclusively.if your going to use braid then make sure you have alconite or sic guides.
  23. cabela's has 1/4 pound and 1 pound spools.
