  1. use a 4000 size reel and get seguar invizx.pros like kvd use 4000 size reels with flouro for this reason.
  2. water temp = 69.4-70.4 cloudy skies wind = unbearable went fishing yesterday with my buddy mike.mike and i used to work together at central ave. chrysler until he became a nyc firefighter.mike is really starting to get into bass fishing now and finally caught a few on titicus with me.previous attempts were all skunkings but he has improved a lot. we boated 13 largmouths and 5 perch and a sunfish.the best largie weighed 4-14 and was caught a a cotton candy yum zellamander.all fish were caught in 5 feet of water or less.most fish were caught on soft plastics dragged on the bottom.the wind was unbearable at times.i tried to get back to the back half of the lake but the wind was blowing so hard we could not row back there.we took shelter in the coves when we could and behind the sections of shore that offerd wind breaks.there were white caps out there yesterday. the bass spawn looks almost finished as sunnies are on the beds at this time.there are a few bass on beds shallow but not many.the lake is almost completely weed free which puzzles me being as this is almost june and by now the weeds are always coming up.
  3. pflueger trion narrow spool= $100 pflueger president= $150 the ultimate = pflueger patriarch = $200
  4. the mojo literature states it is made in north america not the united states.
  5. i have a medalist which is awesome.a friend of mine has 3 supremes which have not given him an issue in 3 years of hard fishing with them.
  6. powrpro is outdated.get bekley's new fireline braid.
  7. palomar and glue it with crazy glue.get rid of the outdated powerpro and get berkleys new fireline braid.
  8. supreme hands down.
  9. bps johnny morris signature series now on sale 119$.
  10. fireline's new braid or cajun red cast.
  11. braid should be easier to cast on any reel.try setting your brakes properly.
  12. fhat's a good deal.years ago that rod went for 159.
  13. 10 lb seguar invizx on a 4000 size spinning reel gave me no issues what so ever.or try cajun red cast mono. I don't really consider a 4000 size reel "for bass" why?a loy of pros including kvd do!!!the bigger spool prevents line twist.if you buy a pflueger supreme you can have a 4000 size around 9 ounces.
  14. 10 lb seguar invizx on a 4000 size spinning reel gave me no issues what so ever.or try cajun red cast mono.
  15. cajun red cast if you want limp line or cajun advantage if you want a baitcaster line like big game.
  16. i have used shimano and switched to pflueger.shimano never fixed the binding issues with the old stradics and told people the problem never existed.shimano products are generally very good.they are severely overpriced.i'll outcast any shimano with a pflueger patriarch except for maybe one of the computerized models.the finish on the patriarch will also look better than shimano's paint jobs after a few seasons.if you like shimano that's great but there are other reels out there that are just as good if not better for less money. as far as the spinning reel goes get a pflueger supreme.do not get a president because it has a graphite frame.imho these are inferior and will not hold up nearly as well.
  17. according to bass pro they make there own blanks in there own factory.the johnny morris rods are some of the finest made.
  18. i had a rick clunn which is the same size as the j. morris and is the same frame.i own a patriarch also.the advantage imho is the patriarch is smaller and is .3 ounces lighter in the narrow spool version than the j.morris gold reel.it is also less $.they probably are similar in casting ability but for the $ the patriarch is a far better buy imho.now another person may not mind the the j. morris is slightly larger in which case the comparison changes slightly.
  19. vanish is named vanish because that's what your fish does when it snaps!!!get seguar invizx.
