  1. i don't know about vicious but tuff line xp is severely rough and outdated.spend your money on sufix 832 and be done with it.
  2. i feel the way about diawa reels.
  3. anything made here will cost more.maybe if we had kept building things here we would have jobs.
  4. have a supreme xt that i love.xt has a better drag.
  5. that model is last years.
  6. it's braid and you can use it with anything.mono will give you coiling issues where braid won't.
  7. get 10 pound test and learn to tie a palomar knot.cut with fiskars kids scissors.on a spinning rod this will be the most trouble free line.close the bail manually and lift th rod tip to get the slack out before reeling in.this will stop spinning reel birds nests.
  8. i use a full spool of braid except 4 electrical tape backing.
  9. or just can the leader.i don't believe line visisbility causes less bites.i've fished next to guys with flouro in clear water and outfished them with straight braid.i've had it go the other way also.it's a matter of your bait being in front of biting fish.leaders mean more knots and more places to fail.i hate when they go through the guides.the only concession i make at all to line visibility is to color the last 6 feet of the braid black.this makes it harder to see.
  10. i guess you missed my post about it.
  11. i couldn't think of a more useless time to use a leader.you're fishingin heavy weeds = line visibilty means nothing.
  12. what kind of guides are on it?what model is it?
  13. get rid of the leader.
  14. ibalance all my rods and reels to the center of the reel seat.this makes the tip weightless and extremely more sensitiveimho.i also disagree with people who say you don't need to balance a crank/spinnerbait rod.the reason for this is i feel a balanced rod is less stressful during casting also.you are not trying to stop a tip heavy tip from continung it's motion.the tip stops when you want it.after hundreds of flips and pitches it's also noticable.a rod balanced to the center of the reel seat will balance with any reel.imho a rod balanced to the center of the reel seat is a must.
  15. but the fireline braid does hold color better than others i've used.
  16. used power pro for years.call me willing to admit when something is better.the color bleed on the 832 is worse than the bleed on fireline.
