  1. my daughters school needs your help as anyone who knows me knows my daughter rebecca has been a drum major of the arlington high school marching band for the past 3 years.arlington is one of the top bands in n.y. state.we placed 2nd at the nysfb championships in syracuse,2nd at the bands of america new england states championship and first at usbba new england states championship this year.we are desperately in need of replacement for our aging uniforms and are seeking a 50000 assistance from pepsi corp to do so.needless to say the money is not in the school budget so we must fund raise.i need BASS RESOURCE members to click on this link http://www.refresheverything.com/arlingtonband and vote for us every day for a month so we can recieve this award.you can also text a second vote every day.i know i can count on you guys to help the kids.marching band is a worthwhile activity that teachs the kids to be a part of society and that it's not all about "me" .here's our 2010 show at nysfb championships.
  2. why wouldn't you contact diawa?
  3. also vanish is the worst flouro made.try seguar inviszx.
  4. 50 lb 832.all these guys breaking off on casts must be using junk braid.forget the leader.
  5. electrical tape works best.
  6. singeing the knot tag anf glue do the same thing.like i said i glue to keep the tag end neat.the glue that gets on the knot and holds it is just a benefit.i think it's easier to shut a glue bottle than find a place for a hot iron to cool.
  7. i've never had that issue
  8. the pflueger prsident would be great.id see if maybe you could get a patriarch for that price.
  9. get rid of the leader altogether.
  10. i have a rod with recoils that i use braid on for 3 years now with no wear.
  11. the glue is for the tag end not getting frayed.btw, you just put liquid crazy glue on it and blow on it and it's good to go.there is no waiting to dry.
  12. that's why they make permanent markers.
  13. i use the glue to keep the tag end neat.the fact that it glues the knot is a bonus.
  14. gotta dissagree again.i feal plenty of slack line bites on braid.unless your talking about tons of slack it's not an issue.
  15. bass pro shops pro qualifier on sale for 69 bucks.has fuji alconites and really can't be beat at this price. http://www.basspro.com/Bass-Pro-Shops-Pro-Qualifier-XPS-Trigger-Rods/product/98314/148172
  16. i've fished fluoro for 2 seasons.my catch rate was higher than the previous season.the 3rd season started off terrible and i went back to braid.still catching as many fish a i did with flouro.obviously it makes no difference.i have fished braid on tough days next to guys using flouro and we both caught the same amount of fish.
  17. gotta dissagree with this statement totally.there is no flouro as sensitive as braid.especially a braid that sinks like sufix 832.it's not even close.
  18. a properly balanced rod blances with any reel.the reel makes no difference when the rod is balanced properly at the center of the reel seat.
  19. i've been using braid since the 90's and have never bent a spool.
  20. change the line more often.i don't know anybody who uses flouro that long.
  21. use sufix 832.it sinks so the bow is decreased.there is not a more sensitive line out there.use at least 50 lb test on baitcasters.heavier lines tip wrap less.
  22. i use braid all the time.never use a leader.line visibility means nothing.since i started using sufix 832 i don't have a problem in rocks.
  23. all rods are tip heavy.a properly balanced rod is balanced at the center of the reel seat.this means any reel can be used and it will not change the balance.this also makes the tip weightless so now you are feeling your bait and not the tip weight.
  24. you lock down the drag then unscrew the handle.
