  1. i'd buy a falcon bucoo.it's lighter and feels better to me.all bucoo rods are under 4 oz according to falcon.it's also got a 5 year warranty.
  2. powerpro super slick in 50 lb or higher on baitcasters.20 or 10 pound on spinning.never go below 50 lb on baitcasting.the thicker braid stops any digging in.i would not buy a pflueger baitcaster below the trion.the trion and up are all good reels.
  3. don't throw spinnerbaits on a heavy action rod with a stiff tip.also adjust your reel tension.there is no reason you shouldn't be able to cast a spinnerbait with 17 and 20 lb line.magnetic brakes also do not control backlash as well as centrifugal brakes.dual brakes are the best of both worlds.the pro qualifier has them.the best brake imho is the adjustable centrifugal brake on the abu garcia mgx.
  4. i would use power pro super slick in 20 lb test.
  5. kvd uses 4000 size spinning reels.i think he does it because you get less line twist on the bigger spool.a lot of pros use this size.
  6. use sufix 832.it sinks.its the only braid that ddoes other than leadcore braids.
  7. 6-6 falcon bucoo micro with 50 power pro super slick on a abu garcia mgx.combo is evil light and casts like a dream.i use it for everything.
  8. i already asked him that and he said no.
  9. any chance you just serviced it and got oil on the drag washers?
  10. supreme xt is an awesome reel.saltwater reels are generally more corrosion resistant.
  11. i use a supreme xt 35 size.bigger spool means less line twist.
  12. tH e brakes are magnetic and are aadjusted with a dial on the sidecover.in the picture ther e appears to be a button on the side cover with the dial that you press then probably turn the cover to get it off.
  13. should be instructions in the box.or call bps.
  14. trash the leader.go all braid.
  15. dissasemble and clean and inspect it.start with spool bearings.is it magnetic brake?check spool tension for being to tight.
  16. power pro super slick in 50 lb test at least.you need the extra diameter to keep the bait up in the water column.always pick your brid by what the mono diameter should be.you will feel bites you never knew you had with mono.a bass can engulf a spinnerbait without you feelig it.with braid you will feel it all.
  17. i suggest you use braid and get rid of the poroblem.or u could start with heating up the line in warm water and spooling it on.next is spool it the right direction.ifyoudontdothisnothingwillworkuse the limpest line u can.after that tie it to pole letout the line and strech it.respool it and sprsy kvd line conditiolner.apply kvd before each fising tripr and let sit overnight...periodically untie line and let it out behind boat with no lure attached and troll.thyis takes twist out.also close bail byhand.
  18. it was a pflueger patriarch.its now an abu revo mgx.the patriarch has the best finish but the mgx casts awesome.
  19. falcon is stiff also.get m'h and you'll have the niceset rod in that range.
  20. the only thing was the gmc used the exact same parts!!!!
  21. is that an 8 *strand?it would be nice to see tuff line make a new modern line.
  22. recoil guides are no louder with braid then other guides.you either have loud braid or you don't.used suffix 832 last year and frireline braid the 2 previous.i am trying power pro super slick this year.if your braid makes noise you need a different brand.
  23. weight.the vendetta is much heavier.
