  1. falcon bucoo micro.it's one of the lightest rods made and falcon has a great reputation.
  2. the falcon bucoo will be the lightest out of them all.it's a very high quality proven brand and they make their own blanks here in the usa.
  3. if you are going to buy at dicks get the promax or the orra combo.if you are buying at bps get a falcon bucoo rod and a pq reel for 200.
  4. the mgx is an awesome reel.baits from light to heavy are no problem.the braking system is the best i've used yet.the reel just doesn't want to backlash and casts are longer than even my patriarch.12 pounds of drag is more than enough.
  5. at the time my friend had his shimano reels it was absolutely true.since then they may have changed their position.bantam 1 wasnot yet on this forum.
  6. falcon bucoo and pflueger supreme or patriarch spinning.abu garcia mgx or pflueger patriarch or president baitcasters.
  7. shimano has had this problem 4 a long time.they deny there is a problem.many guys at nybass have had this issue.one of my best friends switched to diawa because shimano wouldn't fix the problem..
  8. they are awesome reels.really light and hold up well.i've had no problems with mine at all.
  9. falcon bucoo is extremely lightweight and sensitive.i have 2 bucoo micro rods.one has a abu garcia mgx on it and the whole combo weighs around 9 oz.you can't go wrong with the bucoo or higher.
  10. if it's braid crazy glue it.i use as short a tag as possible to stop weeds from hanging on it.never had a properly tied palomar slip.
  11. falcon bucoo spinning
  12. the reason it feels awkward is the baitcaster handle has a smaller turning radius than the spinning reel.i cannot get used to it either.i use spinning lefty and baitcaster righty.this theory that you miss fish switching hands is garbage.i switch before the bait hits the water.
  13. falcon bucoo micro is lighter than any of these.
  14. those of you who know me know i had a severe infection that d**n near killed me a month ago.this made todays first outing of the year all the more special.i fished titicus with papa john today from 6 am to 4 pm. we boated 14 largies and 1 yellow perch.most fish were around 3 lbs.we saw no fish on beds yet but by next week they probably will be.we were catching ours shallow around 4 to 6 feet deep.papa john was hammering them on a crankbait at first then i got 1 on a spinnerbait.after that i caught most of mine on a wacky rigged senko.i nailed one on a t rig berkely havoc craw later in the day.we took 4 pictures but only 2 came out on my camera.the two of papa john said the file was corrupted.so here's my 2 best for the day.
  15. rods of 10 years ago were fine for braid.
  16. it;s a no brainer.get the pflueger patriarch.
  17. anything falcon.
  18. anything shimano.i feel there are better reels in every price range.everything diawa.there prices have become absurd..
  19. in the middle of the summer when it's hot try night or early morning fishing.
  20. i've been using braid since the 1990's and have never had it snap.
