  1. i tie it then tape over my braid as it feeds on.
  2. use braidd for everything.leaders are not needed.fished next to straight flouro users and did as well as they did if not better.it's all about putting your lure in front of a biting fish.
  3. looks like you destroyed it.would you work for any less money than they charged you?
  4. what kind of line are we talking about? flouro is especially prone to damage on a backlash.it can also happen to mono.
  5. trions have spring loaded shoes that come off faster than shimano shoes.you should still not be backlashing with all 6 on.
  6. pfluger trion for 99 or president for 150.my favorite is a abu garcia mgx for 350.shimano does make good baitcasters.
  7. get sufix 832 sinking braid.get rid f the leader.most of my texas rig fish are caught dragging the worm.very few take it on the intial fall.
  8. the line will contact the blank with micro guides.this is normal. tackle tourhas written about it.
  9. read again.i'm not comparing a 4000 size reel.
  10. i didn't know he was talking about the c14.isn't that a composite frame?i would never pay that for a composite fame.as far as the rest of your knocking of pflueger you are entitled to your opinion. STCI41000F 140/4 6.0:1 6+1 6.2 ounces 9530X 120/6 5.2:1 9+1 6.3 ounces in comparable sizes they are within .1 ounces.the pflueger's magnesium frame will not flex.composite frames will flex.
  11. good reel.tackle tour liked it.
  12. original fireline is fused and is not a braid. fireline braid is one of the best braids made.i have used braid of all brands since the eaarly 90's and have never had it snap on a cast.something is severely wrong for this to happen.is the line old or worn ?
  13. abugarcia mgx centrifugal brakes with external adjustment are the best imho.id do like the dual brakes on the pflueger patriarch.
  14. never throw less than 50lb braid on a baitcaster.this will prevent digging in of the line.sufix 832 and powerpro super slick are the best braids made imho.i would give the edge to 832 because it sinks and i think it's actually more sensitive.
  15. falcon cara micro.probably one of the lightest rods made.
  16. signature series rods are great and almost unbreakable.
  17. i'd get the blue micro guide 0ne.for the money they seem ok.
  18. used to be a pflueger patriarch.i have since purchased an abugarcia mgx and love it.the patriarch does have a better finish but the mgx is so light it's unreal.
  19. in your price range i wouuld get either of these http://www.basspro.com/Bass-Pro-Shops-Pro-Qualifier-Reel/Johnny-Morris-CarbonLite-Series-Rod-Spinning-Combos/product/12060712482835/#desc-tab http://www.basspro.com/Bass-Pro-Shops-Extreme-Rod-and-Reel-Spinning-Combos/product/11092805011833/ http://www.basspro.com/Pflueger-Supreme-MG-Reel/Bass-Pro-Shops-CarbonLite-Rod-Spinning-Combos/product/10231349/
  20. i'm a pflueger fan and i will tell you not to buy the president.the reason is it does not have a aluminum or magnesium frame.graphite is not strong enough.
  21. i suggest a pflueger patriarch.better reel and lighter for the same money.
  22. why don't you just order a medium?
  23. micro guides are awesome.they absolutely increase sensitivity.they also prevent wind knots and tip wrap with braid.
