  1. maybe you need glasses ?
  2. another guy didn't like it .that's 1 yeah and 1 nay
  3. I fish 832 on cranks through rocks with no abrasion resistance issues at all. 832 solves that issue as far as i'm concerned.
  4. I USED TO USE THAT LINE.MY REELS AND ROD CORK TURNED RED.YOU CAN RECOLOR IT WITH A RED MARKER. THERE ARE MUCH BETTER BRAIDS SUCH AS SUFIX 832 OUT NOW.I'VE ALSO USED CAJUN RED CAST MONO.CAUGHT PLENTY OF FISH ON IT.I DON'T BELIEVE IN LEADERS.I NOW FISH STRAIGHT MOSS GREEN SUFIX 832 . I DON'T THINK FISH ARE LINE SHY.I'VE FISHED STRAIGHT BRAID NEXT TO GUYS FISHING FLOURO AND SEEN NO DIFFERENCE IN CATCH RATE.
  5. I love them.i shortened the handle on one of my 6-6 rods so it's like a pistol grip and it is great for roll casting and working jerkbaits and top waters.
  6. is this better ? I wanted to get away from the boring regular letters.that's why the option is available.
  7. Abu Garcia service is second to none.i have a mgx that has gotten a little rough that I bought in February.called them today and they said send it to us and we will take care of it.i've researched and they almost always replace the reel.veritas rod breakage issues I take with a grain of salt.a really great rod for the money is the falcon bucoo microguide.you will not get a lighter more responsive rod in that price range.
  8. because regular pp is one of the noiseiest lines ever made and I've never heard any one say this before.then again I haven't fished a veritas rod.also the noise people hear is mostly from the line guide on the reel and not the rod.
  9. powerpro super slick or regular powerpro ? I will agree superslick is quieter than 832.
  10. 5fishlimit said it was.it's right in the quote in my post.
  11. bill dance has stated he doesn't like glass crankbait rods. he prefers medium action graphite rods for crankbaits because he feels they are more sensitive. I think technique specific rods are way overated as many of us don't agree with what the rods are labeled as being good for.personally for most bass fishing I use 6-6 mh fast action baitcast rods and 6-6 mh spinning rods all loaded with braid.
  12. i use an abu mgx 7.1 to 1
  13. a spinning reel with a 7 to 1 will have a higher ipt than a casting reel of the same ratio because the spinning reel has a larger diameter spool. this is why most guys use casting for spinnerbaits and cranks.
  14. no way 832 is noisier than old powerpro.
  15. you worry way to much. just get out and fish.
  16. try cleaning and lubing the spool bearings first.most reels come with a instruction book that tells you to lube them every few trips. most people ignore it and wonder why the bearings go bad.
  17. you are so correct !!! suffix 832 all the way.
  18. it's like nails on a blackboard to me .it also indicates unneeded friction .
  19. digging is more of an issue on baitcasters.
  20. it just totally baffles me why people still buy regular noisey digging in old outdated powerpro.if you like the brand at least buy super slick . I personally think there are many braids better than original powerpro.
  21. don't go any further !!! get the 65 lb. 832 and you won't regret it !!!
  22. tie a palomar and crazy glue it.it will never slip.then switch to suffix 832.
  23. gave it up. back. to 832.tired of wasting money on line.sticking with 832 and no leaders.less line issues and I don't believe fish are line shy.over years of fishing I have come to the conclusion they will either bite or they won't.
  24. been cranking with braid on a 6-6 mh fast action rod for years with no problem.just relax your drag and don't horse the fish in.you can feel when a fish starts to suck the bait in before he hits it with my setup.walking the bait over rocks is the best.i use suffix 832 and have no abrasion resistance issues over rocks.you can feel when you're gonna snag and you can stop reeling and let the line go slack.usually it will float up and you can continue cranking.doing this with any other line is no where near as easy.
