  1. i've used a boatload of different braids since the early 1990s and the best ones i've found are Berkley trilene professional grade, suffix 832 and powerpro super slick 8.sufix 832 gets it on abrasion resistance but berkley professional grade is quieter imho. you would do well with any of these.
  2. 8 carrier braids are less noisey.pps8, suffix 832 and Berkley professional grade braid are some good choices.
  3. thicker line prevents digging in on a baitcaster you should go by the line diameter not the strength. 50 is 12 diameter which is generally the minimum on a Baitcaster
  4. the thicker the braid the less digging in you get when horsing fish and weeds out of the water. this is why people use heavy braid.
  5. spinning reel or baitcast? spinning u can go with 10 or 20. baitcast I would never go less than 50.
  6. I prefer abu's mgx centrifugal brakes
  7. crankbaits spinnerbaits and wacky rig. braid cuts the senko on a wacky rig.
  8. has anybody used it.i bought a spool to try. it seems really smooth and round.i will fish with it later this month and see if I like it. I am also using mono for certain apps this year.
  9. concentration
  10. I'M A PFLUEGER FAN but I would go for the extreme.the reason is I will never again buy a reel with a graphite frame.i've had the necks twist and break from a hard pulling bass in the weeds.either that or get a pflueger with an all metal frame.
  11. I would not use big game on a spinning reel.get trilene xl or suffix elite or Cajun red cast.make sure you spool it on so it's not coiling up going on.that usually means label up on the spool.do not spool to much on.leave an 1/8 inch of spool lip showing.also make sure you flip your bailshut manually and get all the slack out before you do.if you don't it will mess up.
  12. that can happen with any flouro.kink it and it's done.
  13. it's personal preference.i dislike spinning tackle and i'm going back to all baitcasting.my casting is far more accurate with a baitcaster.
  14. revo sx bass pro shops 4.4 stars out of 5 revo s has 5 stars revo stx 4.5 stars revo premier 5 stars revo winch 4.6 stars revo mgx 4.9 stars revo mgx on cabelas 4.9 stars revo winch 4.8 stars revo rocket 5 stars. I guess there are plenty of satisfied abu revo gen 3 customers.
  15. for shore fishing a shorter rod is better unless you are fishing from a treeless shoreline. for boat fishing a longer rod is nice.medium to a light medium heavy is best for most spinning apps.i suggest a falcon bucoo or falcon cara.
  16. I really would disagree since most reviews are favorable on most websites for them.
  17. marty is 100 % correct. that' s why they are rated in pound test which is a measurement of line strength. line diameter has nothing to do with it.
  18. And then they massively improved the rods and they don't break as much as they did when braid first came out.
  19. try suffix 832.i crank all day in rocks with it without a retie .it's true any braid will cut if caught right but out of them all I think you'll be happy with 832.
  20. THEN YOU CAN HAVE ANY COLOR YOU LIKE EVEN CAMO
  21. all I know is the falcon is lighter. and they are not overated.my mh feels like most of the mh rods I've owned. the falcon is a pleasure to fish with and it's made here.
