  1. Abu Garcia just doesn't have the same quality. Good reels but over hyped and priced. Shimano puts put nothing but quality even in their cheaper reels. The chronarch mgl will do it all and last more then a season.
  2. Easy fix? sucks since I use it here and there. Great reel but **** happens I guess
  3. Whatever I had was a tank. Drag was slipping when I was reeling.
  4. Well then again this is what bent my hooks. I had something on yesterday that did the same almost completely straightend one treble out. I didn't see what it was and that's good. I wouldn't get over losing a giant bass. Lol
  5. Cool thanks guys will change them out soon
  6. lost a good fish today to a straighten hook today. I lIke them for the most part even caught a good musky on it last week but it destroyed the hooks. Lol any one else having this issue and what are some good replacements that won't flex or effect the action??
  7. U put a green pumpkin or black and blue bait in front of fish at a bps fish tank and nothing. Get a red colored bait in front of the glass and watch the bass go nuts. I'd say redish colored jigs, worms, cranks are some of best things to throw.
  8. power worms are the best man. Another good big worm wound be a 10in sk ragetail anaconda. But overall powerworms are the best. My favorite color of all time motor oil/red fleck
  9. I replaced the spool bearings with some boca abec5 ceramics on a curado g7 and the bearings on a g6 with hp ceramic bearings. Worth the upgrade. On both and I wearing hearing aids too brother lol
  10. I have a curado i.I can get great deals on new reels but I just want a e series. Lol oh well maybe IL find a old man that wants to get rid of it.
  11. Been looking at eBay and everyone wants 150+. If I could score one for 100 I would be happy but definitely not paying 150. Lol I really just want to see if they're better then the g like people say and I like the looks.
  12. Great cranking rods for the money can't beat them
  13. I work at bass pro and sorry for the info they gave you but not all of us are like that. but I don't lie to a customer. I push every brand. Had a customer come in and buy a speed freak, tatula, revo winch, curado i, stradic fj, and 2 pqs. All great reels but now he has a taste of everything and can make the choice for himself what he likes best. Some guys will only push 1 brand and call others junk. Smh.
  14. Get the rage. Better blank better warranty better craftsmanship. Made in China vs made in mexico. What's your pick? I love ducketts but they aren't st.criox
  15. Buy some bps xps fluorocarbon when its on sale during the spring fishing classic. Best line for the money there
  16. Take it too Basspro. They might give you a new one. And they're rod and reel service is pretty cheap
  17. Those duckett reels are way overpriced. For that money you can get proven reels. A tatula, curado I,smoke, stx, cronarch, tatula type r and HD.
  18. If u wanna throw weightless plastics and have a sick reel get a stradic fj.
  19. I haven't used a premier so I can't say but I've used a curado I. And there svs braking system is very similar to the ivcb braking. I wouldnt throw anything lighter then 1/4oz on a baitcaster anyway. If I'm throwing weightless plastics I'll just use my spinning gear
  20. Save money. Get the stx best reel for $200. I work at bass pro in the fishing department. My top 3 selling reels are the stx, curado I, and the tatula.
  21. Small 3in craws work great. So do romoworms in arrons magic and kvd dream shots in kvd magic
  22. They're super light and smooth man.
  23. I would go to the store they bought it at and exchange it for a 2500-3000 size. Its gonna be lighter and will balance out better on a bass/walleye rod. You don't need the 4000 size
  24. Feels lighter. Better made but as far as sensitivity idk havent fished one yet.
