  1. Yea new model got showcased at iCast.
  2. Are these two reels the same exact frame size? Wondering if they would palm the same.
  3. So far for me it’s been the weightless senko, dark sleepers, jigs and chatterbaits.
  4. New gen or last gen?
  5. Most of our ponds get choked mid summer so the extra power is nice. I have a 705CB already so a 703 would be a nice addition. I just sold my Tatula crankbait/topwater rod to buy a 703. Jt was nice, but I want the 703 for the versatility and it’s ability to be a topwater rod, but still throw all those other baits. My decision is made. Thanks for the input! It will be my 6th Dobyns rod.
  6. Ive heard that it’s in between the moderate fast of the 705cb and like a 704 Fast. Like a moderate fast plus. That would make it a great topwater rod and very versatile. It would mainly be on sexy dawg jr, Storm arashi cover pops, 2.5 wake baits, and weightless senkos. Maybe a chatterbait in a pinch but I throw those on a Sierra 734.
  7. I understand that lol. Fast can mean a lot of things. Is it closer to a mod fast or a true fast?
  8. Interested in how the 703 compares to the 705CB. I own a 705 CB so opinions on the 703 are especially welcomed. Thanks.
  9. If you want a barely used Tatula cranking rod lemme know. Lower price than that.
  10. Mind me asking what you paid?
  11. Tackle Supply Depot has a blowout sale going on.
  12. New Speed Spool is incredible. They put the new pinion bearing on all their new models. Supposed to help extend gear life. If u set that real right u don’t even need to thumb the spool during the cast.
  13. Wow I didn’t put two and two together. Still quantum to Lews is a huge upgrade in my opinion.
  14. The Tatula rods don’t get enough props in my opinion.
  15. I’m a Lews guy for sure. I love how they feel in hand, their reliability, and customer service! There is a reason that all this Quantum pros switched to Lews. I have all Lews reels for any of my casting setups. That being said I experimented with Daiwa CTs to see what the Tatula line was all about and I liked their line control for flipping and skipping so I bought a couple of high speed SVTWs and I gotta say even while skipping you have to really screw up to get a big backlash. The line control with the shallow sv spool is incredible. So I’m a Lews man but with a couple excellent Daiwa reels. Lews feels better in hand by a long shot for me though. The SVTW is a little bit bigger in hand but the new Tatula Elite reels are built on the Tatula 100 frame which is supposed to be easier to palm. Good luck.
