  1. At least your catching fish i still have to wait 2 weeks for opener
  2. I agree 100%, i also feel like mounting a bass means i think that will be the best fish i catch and i don't ever feel like a cant catch a bigger bass next cast. Thats just me and how I stay motivated.
  3. I like Native sunglasses you can change the lenses on the fly. I use green mirror grey and amber.
  4. A t-rig is more weedless than a jig and has a smaller profile. IMO a jig has a better hook up ratio when used with the right tackle. A Carolina rig prevents a bass from feeling the weight on the line and just feels better to me when dragging over the bottom.
  5. Yea i do it all the time. I also use a bibber stop below the weight and i can have a t rig or slidr the lower stop up to have a mojo/Carolina rig
  6. I dont fish for them i like to look at em and see whats going on. Im sure i catch some running bank. But spawn is so quick where i live its not a great strategy fir catching.
  7. Thanks guys for the help. If the floroclear sucks ill just pull it off at $7.99 for 300yards i thought id see if it got the job done. I need cost effective fishing tackle as i an trying to save money for a baby this fall.
  8. Well I'll find out tomorrow on the water
  9. P-Line floroclear, I saw it on sale for 7.99 an thought i would give it a try.
  10. Im wondering if copolymer line floats or sinks?
  11. Jj magic has a blue dye i believe.
  12. Keitechs are 4 bucks a pack at dicks if you buy 4 packs (excludes swing impact fats) the fats last long for me anyway. Im not one the the people that think they are the best thing since sliced bread. If bass are on swimbaits i don't really care what you give me a speed shad, rage swimmer, cane thumper, armour shad I'll catch em.
  13. If the rod dosent feel ideal for you its not. You can throw 1oz on it but it will feel funny and you can get at heavy rod when it suits you.
  14. Go with 7'6" that will get the job done. Anf when you feel like you need another cranking rod you can move up
  15. Bryan Thrift uses both hummingbird and lowrance electronics on his boat one of each front and back. He is top 3 bass fisherman in the world its ok for him i think it will work for you.
  16. There both good. Its like chevy vs ford or diawa vs shimano. You just have to play with them at the store and see whats mor comfortable.
  17. Muskie do eat bass and bass eat muskie fingerlings its no big deal thats what fish do. I find the size of bass to be bigger in lakes with larger predators. Look at lake Mille lacs its full of 50"+ Muskie and its also full of giant smallmouth.
  18. Football head for rocks Grass jig or pinching jig for grass swim jig as well
  19. You can experiment with it. But if i have a muddy bottom or lots of grass i rig it higher if the bottom is clean or hard i rig it lower.
  20. Bladed jig
  21. 3' or 4' any shallower and id use a shaky head or t rig.
  22. If they made a tiny version it would be a great crappie bait in the summer.
  23. My buddy did the same thing. We went up to his cabin i have a boat he just bought a used boat. So on day 2 he wanted to get his boat on the water. So me and one buddy on my boat watched the other buddy at the launch trying to start his boat. I trolled up to his boat and he's getting frustrated he cant start the boat. I yell at him " is there a little red switch by the throttle" he's all mad and shruggs me off so i go back to fishing and after a half hour he trailers his boat and fishes with me for the weekend. He gets home on monday and realized it was the kill switch the whole time.
  24. Not at all you can fish pretty shallow with a drop shot
  25. I have the ulterra and am very pleased. I use the romote/foot control 50/50 basically i use the foot control to steer and the remote to set speed and many time i use both imputs interchangeably. For the reasont you describe i think the ulterra is perfect for you. It should save you alot of hassle and physical hardship and keep you fishing longer and more comfortable. May i ask what product you used? I want to put a transducer on my Ulterra as well.
