  1. Im not surw if thats a joke but I would catch bass on that punch rig. What is that trailer?
  2. Cool i like to skip a 3/8oz jig
  3. Start with a senko wacky rigged on a weedless wackey hook on spinning gear. Look for docks with at least 3' of water underneath cast to the shadiest spots. Have you ever skipped docks before?
  4. Ok i fish that area alot, fish is my favorite of those 3 eagle my least. Fish lake has good dicks to fish and a good early morning topwater bite. Medicine has some ok docks and some descent weed line fishing eagle i cant stand. Try independence ,waconia, bald eagle
  5. You should go for the ultrex if you want the spot lock ability you shouldnt have a problem with tight places its a little different then wire guide but works well once you get the hang of it.
  6. Ish Monroe's theory is to go by water visiblity if you can see 5' down space youre pitches 5' apart and so on
  7. Tin may be a great option for you
  8. This is mine it's a Booyah pad Crasher I've got my PB on this bait and countless other giant Bass. It's my go-to frog I haven't missed a hook set on it in i can't remember how long and I don't think I'll ever lose it.
  9. What is the bait in your box that has gained legendary status to you? It's the bait you go to, it's the bait that always hooks up, it's the bait but you'll never replace.
  10. This happens to me quite a bit all I really do is give them the tools and my reasoning for what I'm doing and let them try to learn. It's really hard to teach somebody presentation, people are always convinced that it's just a bait and if they have that bait they'd be catching them. But most of the time they're just not willing to pay attention to the details or to pay attention to what you're doing that's putting fish in the boat. Like lightly presenting the bait into the water, paying attention to where the grass is or what the targets are and then altering your presentation. Anytime I bring friends on the boat I want them to catch fish but sometimes the best thing you can do is it just keep catching fish until they start paying attention and asking the right questions.
  11. What lakes did you fish when you were on the bank or pier and what area of the state are you in.
  12. Could have been a good story fortunately for me the wind was in my favor and blew my boat back to me
  13. Why are you interested in using this technique? Do you think it's going to get more bites do you think it's going to help your hook up ratio is it key to getting in and out of the cover you're trying to fish?
  14. Start with a senko on spinning gear wacky rigged. Than get a 3/8oz Strike King tour grade skipping jig and throw all that with 50 lb braid on baitcasting once you get comfortable you can go to fluorocarbon. Use bulkier trailers like a rage bug rodent or beaver on The Jig.
  15. It's definitely just your line braking itself somewhere in your spool you have little Loops of Line crossing other line and it creates friction and the force that's created when you're blind backs pools and stops against itself is breaking your line deep in your school. This usually happens when people have loops in their spool that they don't know about and they keep casting and it eventually breaks.
  16. Always carry extra batteries for your trolling motor remote when using an automatic stow and deploy model for launching
  17. As far as i know flukes should be rigged weightless. For swimbaits i like weighted swimbait hooks with twist lock screws. The size of the hook depends on the size of the swimbait. For me i use the biggest hook i can without hindering the action of the bait. As far as weight just depends on how deep you want to fish. I use the weighted swimbait hooks when fishing grass or docks. Ill use jig heads when i want a faster more vertical fall and im fishing hard bottom and i want the bait to sit jig head on the bottom and the bait up. When fishing plastics like worms, bugs, craws, hogs ect, i generally t rig them with tungsten bullet weights. I use jig heads when fishing hard bottom, rocks, when i want to drag a bait and i need the plastic to stay vertical and not lay flat on the bottom. I only use weighted hooks for swimbaits never for worms, creatures or craws i just dont like how they fall on weighted hooks. Where did hooks tend to have a gliding action that I don't like for worms creatures and craws but that same gliding fall is great for swimbaits. Hope this helps
  18. You can catch good bass every where. Start fishing outside weed edges with a t rigged worm or any plastic greem pumpkin or black blue color. Then get some jigs a 1/2 oz swim jig and a 3/4 oz grass jig. That should get you started. Check out youtube to learn about basic rigging, lines, knots, and rids and reels for diffrent techniques.
  19. I agree this makes no sense to me trolling motors should be ran at the voltage they are maid for. You could buy a new 12v trolling motor that will work much better and be much easier on the battery. A 36v TM wants to draw 36v not 24 or 12 IMHO
  20. Lizards are great for c-rig
  21. Chance_taker4 what kinds of line are you using and are you using like conditioner?
  22. I have 2 gen 3 revos and there amazing for me but thats just me. If you are still looking for a brand that works for you try shimano i dont think you could go wrong.
  23. I have a helix 7 gn2 si ds with the transducer it came with and i think the image is just fine i can see rocks i can see grass and how its laid out. I can see fish and bait on 2d ds and si. I think learning how to use the tool effectively is the key.
  24. Why try a reel you don't like just because people on this site love them soo much? There are many good reel manufacturers out there abu, shimano, ect. Find the equipment you like you will be the one useing it.
  25. You need an mh to a h rod and your spool tension needs to be tighter as well as break adjustments. 50 lb braid would help as well.
