  8. Im a fan of the duckett ghost line of casting rods there around 100 bucks sometimes you cand find them on amazon for 80 bucks. I just picked up a 7' mh f for t-rigs and skipping jigs ill also use it for square bills, chatter baits, spinner baits and lipless cranks. Ill probably spool it with 16lb sunline shooter or sniper floro
  9. I use 65lb braid because i like the thicker line. Its more buoyant and helps me keep my line and frog from getting caught under pads.

Ill also use a jig if i can fish it efficiently i like the hook up better. I generally use a 4ot tk 130 flipping hook some people like 4 or 5 ot ewg hooks i think they work great as well. Anyone going to be in SD late apirl? Im going to lake city area apirl 26-30
  16. We plan to fish 2018
  17. Geno and I are planning to fish that tour next season as well hope to see you on the water
  18. Muskie will take a 10" worm on a drop shot this time of year. Ive been working on a heavy duty musky drop shot set up to try at lake Harriet. Last yeat i got bit off a few time be big musky on a drop shot.
  19. Its pretty common at least for me and i have hummingbird units. This usually happens when you have • really soft bottom and the sonar is going tough the soft and reading the hard underneath. So on the unit you will see a double return one bottom will be shallow thats the true bottom, lets say it shows on the graph thats its at 7' but the read out on the unit says 15' just go off the top return reading. • the other is hard bottom or sandy botton you well get a double return but the depth reading should be accurate. You might need to adjust the Hertz in frequency your transducer is running at to stop this problem but I just go with what I'm seeing on the return and go with it
  20. Is your unit showing you the bottom at like 7' and showing a depth at 20' something like that?
  21. Looks like your transducer isn't level. Try to do it on the water if you can, maby loosen the transducer just enough that you can alter pitch when you are on the water and get to a place on the water that gives you the sane returns you are seeing in your pic above. Then adjust your transducer untill you see arches and fasten the trans in that position.
  22. I'd fish the lake the Largemouth bite has been pretty good lately. But I have a lot more experience on lakes than rivers. I fished a lake yesterday and the recent rain did Muddy up the water quite a bit and I think it affected the bite.
  23. Ok, started with a lipless and got a bunch of pike. Went to a jig and found some bass on the deep weed edge. If you can brave the rain on sunday Harriet should be good, i use a 3/4 oz spinner and a 1/2 ounce jig and work the inside bends and ends of points. The north beach should have some good fish as well. Look for the 12 to 15' edges and fish slow.
  24. 3/4oz slither rig with a boss jigs bluegill skirt and a strike king menace. Flipping heavy cover
  25. How did you not get bit on cedar? What were you doing technique presentation cover wise? I'm about to fish Harriet after work today I'll let you know.
