  1. Oh boy let's see; Paca toad sr. [Netbait] Flappin' dad [zetabait?] Cattapillar worms [bps] Not a lure but a color, snagproof phatfrog in o.g. green. I was at a local fishing flea market yest. And bought some of these as some guy had a bunch of them 3pks. For 5$
  2. I'm guilty of this often. A.little rust on the shank can be cleaned up with some steel wool but any rust at all near the point or barb and I toss it.
  3. I don't double skirt [ or fish at night] but maybe try a hula grub and get the best of both.
  4. I prefer a single colorado blade.
  5. Ive used those blades for years now both gold and silver and have caught many fish with them. Are they better than the ' cheaper less shiny' ones I can't say.
  6. Just use a cooler and one of those minnow bucket bubble makers.
  7. Genuine gold and silver plate highlight our line of Regal finish blades, providing maximum light reflection. Use these superior blades on your best baits. I copied this from the l.p.o. website if your interested
  8. Man is this a trick question?, the answer is NO! If it doesnt catch fish I don't like it.
  9. Buzzbait.
  10. I love me some copper blades. I like to throw them in spring and fall on cloudy days though I'll use them on sunny windy days of I'm feeling the vibe. Bass seem to like them as well.
  11. I would choose a 7'3". Shorter than my longest and longer than my shortest. I've done alot of things with a 7ft. Rod so I know I don't like punching and frogging with one that short.
  12. Frogs/toads for sure
  13. I switched to non-lead when the ban went into effect. I also have an E.P.O. that lives about a mile from me and right between 3 launches I frequent so I see him a few times each year. Even with jigs hanging from my rods in sight he's never asked about them. He's more concerned with safety stuff.
  14. So basically they delayed a crappy sale for a crappie sale?
  15. I'll give my vote for the spinnerbait. However I do prefer colorado blades early in the season.
  16. I go with 40lb. Braid on a 7ft. Mh/f rod and 6.3 speed reel. And always use a trailer hook.
  17. I always use a trailer hook. 4/0 siwash is my preference for lmb.
  18. I like 30lb sufix 832 for this type of fishing
  19. I've got like 4 ponds around me that become about 70% choked off by milfoil and /or chesnut pads most of summer thru early fall. The pads you can frog/toad early before they get to thick and the milfoiloil you punch it as well as pitch jigs and bladed jigs into any 'feedholes' in it.
  20. Personally I like to start out early spring with a Jig, however of the 3 about which you asked I'd go spinnerbait, chatterbait, squarebill, though I'll usually have all 3 rigged to see what they want each time out.
  21. This for me as well.
  22. Lmb: double wide beaver, 6-10 Smb: spinnerbait, 3-6
  23. Search 'big bite baits 100 pack' on amazon. Ive got 100 packs of baits like the yo mamma for as low as 13 bucks.
  24. I've been using their flipping weights for a couple years now without issue. As for whether to use lead or not, it's up to you up here it's illegal so my choice is made for me.
  25. I tried bobber stops but didn't like them. I prefer the jumbo peg-it's. I pull them through until they're nice and tight then I snip it flush at the top but I cut it about an 1/8" below the bottom of the weight and this becomes my 'spacer' between the weigh and the bait.
