This does work great BUT, the dang 'crimp' connectors came off twice on me, so I simply tied a knot in the end of the wire cable and pulled it really, really tight to make the knot fit up in the slot of my existing handle, problem solved. No more problems. Man, having a TM pull cord come untied or break is NOT a pleasant exerpience. I pulled on my MK, I guess a little too hard, ended up in the passenger seat and floor! Sure am glad I did not have a 2nd console or I would have ended up in the lake for sure !!! LOL ... Real not very funny experience. Side note: that is exactly the moment I discovered : You know I NEED a boarding ladder !!

No, I probably did not explain this clearly enough. The 598si CI HD will be removed and I will be offering it for sale. The now 2, 1199 units will be connected. I was told that I only needed the ethernet cable, which is what I bought. One at the console and one on a deck mount by the foot control pedal for the TM. Great product I found to 'deck mount' my unit from Precision Sonar !! Wrong?

ah, no sir. I got it to mark spots at the console while looking at structure and hopefully fish, drop offs, etc. and the can shut down the big motor after I get close and use the TM to take me to those exact spots to fish using the new 2nd unit at the bow. Lord, I hope that made sense... God Bless

Had to upgrade my electronics in any case so, broke down and spent the money to buy my 2nd HB 1199 and as soon as my marine mechanic has time, he will install and 'interlink' the new one on the bow to the existing one by my console. Old eyes, had to have larger screen just to see the darn things.... LOL This will be a whole new experience .... the new one will replace a good unit mounted in the bow, HB 598ci Si HD Combo but, being only a 5" screen, these old eyes just can't see what all it's telling me ..

Just to get on the water just before daybreak, have a cup of coffee, enjoy the warmth of the mornng sun and then find (hopefully) "the" spot..... still looking but, I don't think there is anyone who enjoys their time on the water more than myself. God Bless

New to the forum. Retired and just learning to fish. Bought first bass boat and for the past 1 1/2 years, updating my rig as it is not new (2004 Stratos PRO 275 XL w/90 Johnson). Really enjoy the sport, but it is not always kind to you! I have to be among the worst fishermen in the lower 48 states but, hey I'm not giving up. Just being on the water, enjoying nature, meeting and talking with other fishermen, listening and trying to learn from them AND my mistakes. Lord I do make mistakes. Just wanted to say hello.
