  1. Funny you say that I already have a prototype ready to test. Hopefully I can get out tommorrow to try it.
  2. Jig is hard to beat any time of the year, in almost any situation. But lately, I've been having some decent success with a weightless wacky rigged Spanky (Senko).
  3. That is sick.
  4. Sounds cool.
  5. On one hand you would look more like a legit team, on the other hand if it's too matchy it opens you up for some jokes. So, my two cents would be. Since you already make them, make a few jerseys with either the same layout and different colors, or the same colors with a different layout, or a combination. So you still look like a real team, but you're not wearing the same thing all the time. Good luck with your tourneys.
  6. I usually have better luck with frogs when it's a little choppy, especially buzz frogs (soft plastic toads). BUT, when it gets gusty even though they tend to go after it more they miss it more times than not...which gets old fast.
  7. HUMPH!
  8. I don't think "Bust Out Another Thousand" applies. But, all it needs is a trolling motor, a little bit of plywood decking, and a fresh grasslands camo job. The used car salesman that sold it assured us it floated and the Evinrude ran...so we gave him $600 for it and about a dozen clamps holding it all together. Now we can finally join the redneck jon boat tourney we've been eyeing for a couple years. The only real problem I'm having is coming up with a name.
  9. I have the Lexa, it's an incredible reel for the price. But if you can spare the $40 why not go with the Tatula? Either way I don't think you can go wrong.
  10. What about a two man kayak? Those things are terrible to fish out of, even when it's with somone you half-way like!
  11. Every Thanksgiving as we sit around the table we take turns saying what we are most thankful for from the past year. I am thankful for; the men and women fighting make this the best country in the world across seas and in our home towns, a healthy family, and my first boat that I got a few days ago (pics coming later). Since this is what this day is really about, what are you most thankful for?
  12. -Turkey -Stuffing -Grain-free Stuffing (suprisingly amazing) -Green Bean Casseroule -Mashed Taters -Gravy -Sweet Tater Casseroule -Rolls -Cranberry Relish -Pumkin Cheesecake -Pumpkin Pie and Wiipped Cream Unfortunately, I am in an absolute turkey coma. So, for the next 24 hours I can't be held responsible for anything I say or do.
  13. TW should write a "For Dummies" book, "Taking Money From Fishermen, The New Candy From Babies".
  14. Ernest T. Bass also gets married. And I think if he stopped throwing rocks through windows, it lasted.
  15. Hillbilly golf is the redneck king of yard games. It's a lot like horseshoes, but instead of throwing horseshoes at a spike in the ground, you are throwing golf ball bolas (2 golf balls with holes drilled in them with about a foot of rope connecting them) at a "ladder" contructed out of PVC pipe. It's kinda hard to explain, but it;s a ton of fun.
  16. There isn't a snowman's chance on a pile of leaves at Raider's house, that I'm going Black Friday shopping. They would literally have to be selling Shimano Scorpions 80% off and giving out Carrot Stix as door prizes, to get me camping out in their parking lot. Instead of the maddness, I'm going to be playing hillbilly golf and eating turkey sammiches. What do you guys have going on?
  17. Happy Turkey Day! There's gonna be some good football on too. Can't wait to watch the Panthers destroy the Cowgirls. Packers should beat the Bears, but it should be better. Then There's the Lemons vs. the Beagles, not watching that game.
  18. Kosher salt and coarse ground pepper. Since you're not going KC style with sloppy sauce you'll probably want to go with somehting like what lo n slo suggested. Check out "Franklin's BBQ" on Youtube, he really knows his stuff. I'm actually about to chow down a brisket I smoked for around 16hrs. Brisket is quite different than ribs but, same thing salt and pepper.
  19. As of late it's been the Lunker City Spanky in peanutbutter. When there is ANY vegetation on the surface I'm throwing a black frog.
  20. Co-poly is great. I don't think you can go wrong with either one, they're pretty good brands.
  21. I would keep an eye on TW sale section. I got a daiwa Exceler 1500 (spinning) for something like $40-$50, and a Daiwa Lexa for (casting) for $60. So, TW has some pretty good sales, especially since it's the end of the season.
  22. Too bad, I just stocked up on Spankies.
  23. Always read the fine print.
  24. So, it's a long arduous story so I'll save you from the boredom. Can a 1600cc (50hp), rear wheel drive Baja Bug, pull/launch a 14' fiberglass bass boat?
  25.
