  1. It's good practice for tourney situations. If you plan to fish tournaments, but never keep fish in a livewell. How do you know your livewell is not going to kill/injure your fish? Or you might need practice using your culling system. I don't have a boat with a live well, but if I did I would use it every now-and-again to stay in practice and know my livewell. It would really put a damper on things if your kicker fish died, because you weren't in practice of using your livewell.
  2. Hudd Bugs are pretty sweet. They don't have a ton of action, but they look exactly like a live craw-dad.
  3. I grab my ML Carrot Stix, whatever is tied on, and a back-up lure in my pocket.
  4. I put mine on at 10:00 P.M. and took it off the next day at 2:00 P.M. I have a fire-box-on-the-side barrel-style rust bucket of a smoker. It's actually my old man's old smoker.
  5. 15lbs. may be a small exaggeration, but it's still a ton.
  6. You have shad, bluegill, and baby bass. The only color I would add would be black.
  7. People will think you're talking about swimbaits.
  8. I smoked two 8lb. Boston Butts. That's what I did Labor Day. It took 16 hours, but so worth it. Now I have 15 lbs. of perfectly smoked pulled pork in the fridge. What did you guys do for Labor Day?
  9. SWEET! My parents are yuppies, so me and my brother have had to teach ourselves stuff about hunting/fishing. In fact, I just completed the Hunter Ed. course two weeks ago, it was pretty easy so don't worry about failing. They actually gave me the card before checking my test, they said they have only had two people fail in 32 years. Congrats on signing up.
  10. Looks good.
  11. I care. If people stop bickering on the interweb about fishing stuff I'm ruined.
  12. That's Georgia for ya.
  13. Braid, change color, size, action, and try the Lake Fork Frog stinger hooks. Doing one or more of these thing can really make a difference.
  14. Who's eyes are on the swim jigs?
  15. Swim jigs, football jigs, flippin' jigs?
  16. Welcome to the world of "hard to shop for old men". My dad, over the years, has gotten harder and harder to buy stuff for. It's to the point where an LED flashlight is #2 on the gift list. If I was in your shoes I would go for an eccentric lure. Maybe a couple weird Japanese lures or a cool swimbait. Tackle Warehouse has Bettencourt dying bluegills on sale that would be a pretty cool gift.
  17. That is a toad caught on a toad. Nice catch.
  18. Since fall is coming why not try some jerkbaits? But, whatever you do start throwing some jigs.

Awesome truck. Pretty good deal too.
  20. That's deep Roger. Cool mount Hootie, your wife did a great job.
  21. The Dock-tor
  22. Great idea. Natural materials have more natural movements.
  23. No gas, just elbow grease.
  24. I have the Ascend D10T It's about the cheapest most stable kayak you can buy. It's 10 feet long and 32" wide (I think). I stand in it 90% of the time and never flipped. Now that I said that I'll probably flip it next time out, but so far so dry.
