  1. I have missed some NICE ( 12 -14 lbs ) bass and caught nice bass with a buzzbait. I usually do catch alot of fish as well on a spinnerbait. Chatterbaits usually do the best for me Feb. thru March. Blue, how do you fish your chatterbaits and what do you use as a trailer on them?
  2. I have some of the D & M piranha 2 blade jigs, and I want to take the swivel in between the blade and head of the jig off
  3. The kattobi or boca?
  4. You seriously should get your hands on a Kistler Magnesium. I have a 7' Crank, Rattle, and Roll and I can feel everything my crankbaits are doing. Unreal
  5. I don't have much experience fishing football jigs, so I was wondering: What do you guys use as trailers for them?
  6. What happened to Iaconell?
  7. I've seen a tournament where Denny crunk his outboard up, and started doing donuts, getting the baitfish stirred up. He went from 12th place on the final day to win the tournament.
  8. Another really good weedless topwater lure is the Johnson Silver Minnow spoon. Take the last segment of a plastic worm and thread it on the hook, Cast it out and have it moving as soon as it hits the water. It'll come thru pads, grass, whatever. And it catches BIG BASS
  9. Vikes make screw in Tungsten weights that are great for worm fishing. Inexpensive and durable as well
  10. Zoom Super Fluke ( weightless ), Buzzbait, and Spro Popping Frog. ( FOR SUMMER )
  11. If anyone ends up purchasing one, please let me know. I'm thinking about buying one for my 14 ft jon boat but I want to read some reviews on it first.
  12. I've got the new Curado I and I absolutely love it! Haven't tried the new Citica yet though.
  13. LOL! Especially if she starts outfishing me. I'll use the excuse that I cant find a certain lure and that I need to use hers.
  14. And the Chartreuse Sexy Shad, and Gold Sexy Shad work like a CHAMP!
  15. Bass Pro Shops makes alot of durable bags that come in a wide variety of sizes
  16. I introduced my wife to fishing topwater lures for LMB. Within 10 minutes, she was HOOKED!!! I've had to buy her 4 baitcasters and rods, tackle box, and lures. Every time the boat is loaded to go fishing, she's with me. And that's usually 3-4 times a week. I've VERY fortunate to have my soulmate as my fishing partner. AND, she's outfished me on several occasions. The bait monkey lives in our spare bedroom.
  17. Missle D Bomb with a Strike King Hack Attack Flipping Hook gets the nod for me. Also, VMC makes some good flipping hooks as well. I like how they seal around the eye of the hook. Strike King Rage Tail Structure Bug is VERY good as well, but as mentioned, not very durable. They're usually good for 2-3 fish per bait.
  18. KVD 1.5, 2.5, and LC LDS 2.5. Also Kanan makes some really good cranks as well.
  19. Spro Bronzeye Popping Frog
  20. Are you in the military? When you move here, shoot me a pm. I could tell you SEVERAL good places around here to fish
  21. I don't use prop baits very much outside of a torpedo. Whats the best line to use with prop baits and which prop baits have produced the best for you guys?
  22. Spro Bronzeye Popping Frog
  23. Whenever the swirl or blow up occurs: Stop, lower your rod tip, and count to 3 before you set the hook, unless you feel the fish before you get to 3.
  24. Mono may " give" a little more than braid, but I'm fishing for BIG bass. I fish my buzzbaits in and around timber, vegetation, and alot of other thick, nasty cover. The 65 lb braid gives me more than enough to handle a big bass once I get her hooked.
