  1. I recently purchased 2 Gen 2 Touch Units one with the LSS transducer. One is going at the bow with a trolling motor mounted 83/200, and the other at the console with a hull mounted 83/200 and flush mounted LLS transducer. My question is "While I'm fishing up on the bow, if I have the two units connected via ethernet cable, will I be able to use the 83/200 transducer mounted on the trolling motor for regular 2D sonar as well as look at DownScan/Sidescan Imaging from the LSS?" Lowrance Tech Support seemed like they just wanted to end my call ASAP without providing a confident answer for me IMO. Also, does anyone have an HDI transducer mounted to the trolling motor to have regular sonar as well as DownScan Imaging directly below rather than coming from the transducer mounted 20' behind you? Thanks
  2. Thanks guys! Great video Glenn! I saw that posted on FB once before. No need to reinvent the wheel there. Planning on duplicating your system! Thanks again.
  3. That's pretty much what I had in mind but couldn't find what I was looking for... I was about to ask the wife if she had anything like that haha... Thanks! What about all of your soft plastics... I have 2 of the large BPS binders, but those got full and so I now have 2 other bags to stuff plastics in which is a total of 4... Thoughts on plastics??
  4. I recently purchased a 2002 Ranger 520VX which has a ton of storage compared to my formerly owned '86 17.5' ProCraft Fish n Ski. I used to just take the seats out of the Procraft to add some more floor space for rods/tackle/cooler for weekend trips/tournaments as well as give my partner some space for his gear. I will be parking this Ranger on the same concrete pad next to my garage so I will still have the hassle of unloading rods/tackle from the boat prior to putting the cover on. I do this to prevent any unwanted wear/tear to my investments from temperature/climate while it's parked. I would love to have (besides a garage for the boat) Plano 3700's for most tackle and some soft plastic bags which can be easily carried to/from the boat and into its proper spot in the garage between trips/tournaments. Does anyone have the same situation? If so, what tackle bags/storage systems/compartments do you use or recommend from your experience? Thanks
  5. I am that partner countryboy65 is referring to. We were fishing post cold front conditions and the air temp that morning was 26 degrees but the power plant lake water temps stayed upper 40's and gradually hit lower 50's later in the day. At first I had a Rage Craw on a 3/8 oz SK jointed structure head but the action of the bait seemed too quick for the conditions. So I switched to the SK menace grub and started getting bit. I wonder if I should stick to what worked then even though water temps at LOZ are bound to be higher by next weekend or go with the SK structure bug - especially if the water is stained as mentioned as it has a bigger profile. Also, I have heard that the lake is still down. Will there be fish staging in deeper water just inside mouths of creeks and bays if pea gravel is high and dry?
