Never had any issues with hooksets on jigs or any other type of lure. I often fish spooks/lunkers/DWB for stripers and bass on my yak. No problems there.
berkely or spiderwire from walmart. I have a big head and they have some that fit and dont squeeze my head. Plus I lost a pair overboard on my kayak. Shrugged it off and just bought a new pair. I would have gone crazy if I had bought some more expensive pair.
Strike king red eye lipless/sk kvd 1.5 and 2.5 squarebilles/ 5xd and 6xd/ pretty much strike king cranks all work. Ive tried more expensive lures but the sk's just flst out work.
I use my *** 7'1 mh for so many applications. Jigs, frogs, topwater, spinnerbait, bladed jigs, 3/4 oz lipless cranks, etc. So versatile, great sensitivity and balance. Customer service is also top notch!
Anyone have experience with the kicker fish tail slappers? Seen a video on youtube on these. They look good in the water and have that action on the fall like the fat impacts do. Anybody use these instead of keitechs or have any luck with them?
shadow raps are nice indeed. great action and I have caught fish on mines. Only wish the hooks were stronger. Looks like they will bend eventually. They are super sharp though!
I use a 12 v 8 ah battery for my fishfinder. Last all day and then some. As far as weight the battery weighs like 2 pounds if that? IDK but it has no effect on weight nor will you feel the difference between a rechargable 12v and 8aAA batteries while paddling.
