  1. I also have the Ace Hawk CU Double and man it's awesome. The extra fast tip really helps propel light lures and I get good accuracy too. I bought it for $39 and the value can't be beat. I mainly use this to throw 3.5 gram crankbaits. Right now I have it paired up to an aldebaran bfs xg limited but I plan to get the GHS100 as a xmas gift to myself. So then the aldebaran can go on a different rod.
  2. Minnows/baitfish style lure so I'd bring super fluke jr. Can fish it weightless, topwater, dropshot, jighead, underspin, etc.
  3. It's 1A and 1B for me; Worden's rooster tail and Panther Martins. I use the 1/4 ounce size the most and add split shots to target different water columns. Favorite colors are firetiger, white, black, and yellow.
  4. I'm a multispecies fisherman and with this setup I've caught salmon, steelhead, browns, lmb, smb, white bass, walleye, crappie, and many more. +7' medium spinning rod. +Reel that holds 100 yards 10 lb fluoro. +3" to 4" fluke style plastic. +darter jigheads and ball jigheads +curly tail minnow plastic +crankbaits that dive 5' to 15' I've used every new shiny lure out there but those produce 90% of my catch.
  5. I have a 2 piece Megabass Hyuga rod. Craftsmanship is really nice and I use it for alot of techniques like frogging, jigging, and even moving lures with treble hooks. Major Craft also has excellent 2 piece rods. All the above must be ordered from Japan but I received mine in the mail within 4 days and I live in the states.
  6. I alternate between my top 3: Z-man MinnowZ and DieZel MinnowZ, Keitech's Impact FAT, and Kicker Fish Tail Slappers.
  7. St. Croix Eyecon. I have a Legend Elite and I find myself using the Eyecon just as much. Great rod for the $
  8. Whopper Plopper 90 and a good old shallow diving squarebill.
  9. Agreed 100% I love my Team Lite, Team Pro Z, and Tournament MB (Got them each for under $200 new). But I also love my Aldebaran and Met but they cost me $180-200 more. I've had the Curado I's and Casitas which is more in line with Lew's pricing but they don't have the same features as Lew's at that price point.
  10. Pretty much, that's how I fish them too.
  11. What trailer minnow are you using? Or is it homemade too? Reminds me of Zoom's flukes.
  12. I would throw big swimbaits.
  13. Spittin Wa
  14. Keitech Swing Impact Fat or Kicker Fish Tail Slapper and 1/8 oz weighted hook/texas rig (.4 + .125 = .625 oz = 5/8) ^ I throw that on my rod rated up to 3/8 oz and have no issues. So it'll be perfect for your rod.
  15. Even my jdm bfs baitcasting setup sucks casting 1/32 oz jig with 1.5" trailer. And if you're vertical jigging it's so much easier to open a spinning bail and let line flow freely down to target depths. With a baitcasting reel it's annoying af stripping line by hand.
