  1. Laydown. When I see some laydown it's like a sexy women.
  2. Fishing after a long day of work totally puts me in a diffrent place. I kinda reboot and don't stress all the little things that really don't matter that have happened through out the day. Not to mention the things I have seen while bass fishing at 6 am, people can only hope to see on a nature show. Sometimes when I am out, fishing isn't even what I'm thinking about. I really just think about everything around me and how lucky I am to be able to be out there experiencing what everyone else is missing. Saterday I saw a big bird, maybe a crane, pluck a bass outta the water and swallow him whole, it was one of those moments when you stop and say, whoa. If I didn't have fishing god knows what I would do.
  3. I am using a medium fast rod. I was using gammy 4/0 wide gap worm hooks. and my line is berkley vanish 12lb test. I'll be going out again today and I'll try all the tips and get back to you guys on my progress. THanks guys.
  4. I went fishing for about 2 hours today. I was hitting up laydown and found a really great spot. I hooked up with 6 bass in about 15 minutes. I was real syked I actually put everything together I have learned and was able to locate bass, but I could not actually land a bass today. I was fishing a watermelon candy 5" Yum dinger T-rigged. This is actually a normal occurance with me. I land maybe 50% of fish I hook up with and if I exclude crankbaits I am maybe landing 20%. I know to set the hook hard. I usually hold my rod horizontal to my waist, pick up the slack, and set the hook (w/ plastics). All my hooks are sharp so that isn't the problem. Any little thing you can think of would be great. Thanks alot guys, in advance.
  5. I have caught atleast 30 cats this summer and hundreds in my life and I have never known that cats could sting. Now Im gonna be looking for it. Actually I kinda wanna get stung now, not really.
  6. well if it is out in the desert you gotta think that every animal comes to drink from it. I would go from there. I would tie on a big lizard trigged or a 10 inch worm to imitate a snake.
  7. cast it, let it hit bottom, jerk it 2 or three times, repeat. Hold on tight cause those bass love wacky worms.
  8. I hate picks! I catch about 10 picks to every 1 bass. wouldnt be so bad if they were good eats.
  9. I read an article once were they had a backward tournament, They pulled fish under 12" out and the big ones were left. If a lake can only support a certain poundage of fish then it makes more sense to have 100 10 pounders than 1000 1 pounders. To me I really don't care; a bass is a bass. 1 pound or 25 pounds I just love those little scoundrels. I'm not telling you to take the 1 pounders and throw them on shore, but maybe just start eating the ones under 12 ". The more bass you take out under 12" the more food for the big guys. Just a thought.
  10. I did not know he fished private ponds. I just though thats what bass looked like down south ;D. It doesn't change my opinion of him. If I went fishing with him I'm sure he would outfish me. My favorite show is and always be Linder's edge.
  11. Are you keeping these bass?
  12. This happens to me atleast 50% of my cranked bass. Thx for the advice.
  13. This thread should be "what is your best". Only things that catch me bass are tubes, crankbaits and Senkos! I can't fish a T-rigged worm if my life depended on it.
  14. I also live in Norther Jersey and have yet to see a crawdad! Where in NJ do you fish?
