  1. Picked up some swimbait stuff and finally got my hands on the rage hawk. Have the goofy Zman rattle insert tool coming separately because I saw it in person and realized it fit my needs after this order shipped. The Omina membership thing is handy.
  2. Soft Plastics Tube and Rage Menace and my #1 river bait of all time 2.5" Yum crawbug Cranks Bandit 100 and that tiny little Creme Craw crank (For River fishing) you can get for 1.25 at Walmart
  3. Is anyone else having issues logging into Omina? Wanted to drop a quick order this morning.
  4. Thanks for the heads up on omnia, I have now finally used up my credit for signing up for the pro deal.
  5. The old site was easier to use, but the new one has gotten much better since it was released. what this post made me realize, is that it has been around a year and a half since I ordered from TW. They used to get 90 percent of my fishing budget.
  6. Yes to the slider spider heads, 90% with the heavy wire hook, with almost all my plastics. I fish them like I would a standard texas rig. I do have some slider worms, but haven't fished them much, but hope to change that this year.
  7. My most expensive bought baits are war eagles, but I am starting to think that making my own, buying the frames, isn't the most cost effective way to go either. That said the unique home builds definitely fill the boat much better than even my war eagles, so worth it in the end.
  8. One other thing for those that use light wire spinnerbaits like War Eagles, hummdingers, and I believe the Walmart ones, boat flipping even a 15 or 16” fish you may need to rebend the bait. I have taken to netting them or grabbing them boatside to minimize this. Smallies, well all bets are off lol, they seem to bend them no matter what. Small price to pay when I have seen a light wire bait outfish a thick wire bait 7 to 1.
  9. You bend them back right? Before I started making my own, the war eagles I fished would get thrashed and needed to be resent after almost every fish, but would get 30 plus fish on each one. For cheap baits I agree hummdingers catch a lot of fish. Just need to rebend them often because they are a lighter wire bait, which for the waters I fish makes a big difference.
  10. Honestly I have never painted them, and even buy bulk jigs unpainted and fish them that way. Don’t know if it makes a difference or not to the fish, but I do catch quite a few bass this way.
  11. Bummer, we had 2 cards hacked. Never heard about the class action.
  12. I picked them up from lure parts online. My thought is for clear water fishing. That said I have never fished them, but hoping they will do well for me this summer. what got me thinking of the is that clear water bass love spinner baits with purple and lavender in the skirts. Hoping the blue and white blade combo will give the fish what they want.
  13. 1/8 ounce baits 1/4 ounce baits 1/2 ounce baits. Done in 3 posts so I didn’t have to provide super low quality pics.
  14. So this morning I needed to pick up some stuff and I wandered over to the fishing aisle and picked up some swimbait hooks for 1$ a pack, the Pop-R for 2$, the trap for 2$, and the Jerks for 2.50$. Kind of funny the Ozark trail was the most expensive, but I really hope they don't discontinue it, because it has a really nice slow rise and the stock hooks were sticky enough for my fishing needs. I also left a lot of stuff there. Googan bandito bugs were 1.50$, shad raps were 2$, Rap minnows were 2$-3.50$, etc. Lots of great deals, but I bought what I needed and left a bunch for others to take advantage of.
  15. A sneak peak. I made a few spinner baits last weekend. Once I figure out what skirts I want on them I will post better pictures. Mix of 1/8, 1/4, and 1/2 ounce baits.
  16. Got my copperstate order today. Really looking forward to trying the smaller provokes. I have been hoping they would come out with these for a while now. The treble heads hopefully will keep me from needing to make my own line through baits with stir straws and weights.
  17. Curious if anyone has had their copperstate stuff ship and or received it yet?
  18. Finally was gifted the S waver and some backing line for spinning reels and baitcasters. Got this a long time ago from Bait Wrx. Really trying the swimbait thing this year. Now just patiently waiting for my Copperstate 6th sense order to ship. Hate ordering from new sites to me, because I worry till I hav3 the product in hand.
  19. The SPRO sounded interesting enough to me, to add it to the list to potentially buy. The hook magnet was a bit weird though, but it sounded like a decent bait.
  20. Going back to my limited supply of the Netbait slim shake and zoom swamp crawler. Other than that anglers choice crosshair, zoom finesse, and some slider worms. Really wish Netbait would not have stopped making the slim shake. It was a tough little worm, and pretty much when I discovered it, it was gone the next year.
  21. For me learning that these baits all have a limited speed range that they can used with was eye opening. Otherwise I would have thought I had a defective bait and pitched it in the don't use again pile.
  22. I stumbled on this guy with a comparison video on the new Berkley Nessie. This second video by the same person, was very well done and I learned some things from it, especially since I bought my first Mag Draft to try this year. Hope this is allowed, I don’t know this person, just found it helpful.
  23. I do well from the bank of my local river. Other than that, I love clear water, the fish are just so predictable, especially in reed beds, I have that bite dialed in. Where I struggle are deep weed edges, or its too boring with so much water to cover for a limited payoff. My local home lake is gross with lots of funky weeds and algae blooms at times, oh yeah and it is featureless. Unbelivably there are huge muskies in there, but the bass are difficult to find. Where you need to go in the summer you need to basically set the trolling motor to run just below the surface or it will bind up with weeds instantly. I catch more pike and musky than bass. I will unlock it someday, but it is a tough bass lake. I can hit docks, but they are pounded and in this area, I don't want to deal with the home owners so I generally stay away from them.
  24. For me you could say maybe, but for the story I had about my father in law on this thread, I would say no because he was a non believer at the time and only reluctantly tried it. The best time to try it is on a tough bite day to see if it makes a difference, not a day where they are hitting anything you toss.
  25. Add Liquid Mayhem to that list as well.
