  1. Shadow rap Green Olive. Then two on strike king coffee tube Green Pumpkin.
  2. I had a really nice travel coffee mug that my wife got me cor Christmas that I would take to work every day. One day I left it at work, went back the next day and someone ganked it. I was pretty irritated. Like, "Don't you people have anything better to do than wait for someone to leave something nice so you can steal it?" I walked around for two weeks asking everyone if they'd seen a black stainless steel coffee mug, because mine got swiped. Then last week I opened my cupboard of coffee mugs and there it was, on the top shelf. I guess when I walk around in a stupor at 4:00 AM I only look on the bottom shelf...
  3. Jesus, you're, what, 15 years older than me and teaching me tech stuff? I should be ashamed of myself.
  4. Eff yeah. I tried to post pictures of you, your fish, and your non-working scales, but the file was too big. Sorry, Bill. I'm a poor co-angler...
  5. Dangit, I missed the boat on that one. He was had at approximately 2:30 yesterday on a tube.
  6. Just a quick question. When you guys are fishing offshore, do you position your boat to cast towards shore and reel out, or cast out and reel towards the bank? It seems like the latter should be the case and I seem to have better luck doing that with any baitfish pattern, and, I assume, it's because baitfish are more likely swimming towards the shore. But my science is completely baseless...
  7. Yesterday was my first trip of the year. Pretty decent for 45-48 degree water. I caught three smallies between 2-2 1/2 pounds. My buddy caught four, the biggest pushing five pounds-unverified due to the electronic scales not turning on for that fish only. His next biggest was 3 1/2. Jerkbaits and tubes, dude, jerkbaits and tubes.
  8. Oh... Electronic music for me pretty much begins with Nine Inch Nails and Ministry and ends with Puscifer.
  9. Forgive my ignorance, but Monstercat?
  10. It's only a matter of time before someone says their favorite band is Hanson and this thread gets locked. But in the spirit of giving, my top five are: Tool The Moody Blues Opeth Metallica Simon and Garfunkel
  11. Confirmed. Season on!
  12. I just talked to a guy in the fisheries division of the dnr. He said that he got an email saying that the order had passed yesterday. He believes that it is an open season as of now, but he's going to get clarification and get back to me today. So stay tuned...
  13. Well, that's effed. I'm sure they just wanted to improve the wording or one detail was wrong.
  14. Fred Trost's Practical Sportsman. Old school Michigan PBS show.
  15. Take a short road trip to Traverse City. I'm going out on Sunday...
  16. http://www.eregulations.com/michigan/fishing/general-hook-line-regulations/#General-Hook---Line-Regs-Note-2 It is official! Catch and immediate release.
  17. It's not a vote it's just a policy meeting. They were setting a deadline of today to hear arguments for all the different regulation change options then they're going to announce the change today. Don't quote me on that, though.
  18. Because I enjoy being a part of this forum, I can't post any of my sayings here. The most appropriate response I've got is silence.
  19. Tackle Warehouse, Bass Pro, Cabela's, Gander Mountain, Overstock Bait. Between the five I can find really good deals and pretty much blow a paycheck whenever I get the itch.
  20. I'm pretty sure I got the same thing. He stopped calling after I laughed at his ridiculous accent. Sounded like Nicolas Cage in Con-Air...
  21. http://m.academy.com/shop/pdp/okeechobee-fats-t1200-series-tackle-bag/pid-1038203?deviceType=true This is what I've got in black. It's pretty awesome.
  22. I can sympathize with hooking into that fish. Couple years ago I was fishing for bass(go figure), when I hooked into one that was between 3-4 feet. All I could think was, "Crap, I've got this on 8# line". This was actually my first time fishing in approximately 15 years, and still getting back in the swing. I fought it for about a minute, then it ran, I pulled, and *snap*. I just slumped over and looked at my line and my buddy just says, matter-of-factly, "Your drag's too tight..."
  23. Your significant other can't deny your passion. Regardless of whether or not you plan on tournament fishing, if it is something you really love to do and are responsible doing it, she is obligated to allow you to chase it. As long as you're able to keep up with household duties, "relationship duties", and don't spend the rent/mortgage on that special deal on 1,000 packs of senkos she shouldn't have a problem with it. I got lucky, I was able to blame my habit on my wife. "Hey, you were the one that suggested we start fishing once in a while. I told you I was pretty obsessed with it when I was a kid and it would be easy to fall back into it." That's worked thus far.
  24. Short answer: no.
  25. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-videos/cast-adjust-baitcast.html Those two videos should get you started pretty well.
