Had this problem Tuesday and took me over hour to catch a 5lber. Throwing senkos and craws to only one hookup and it broke my line. After doing this over and over to no more bites I went a got a chatterbait. This was only a foot from the bank. So pitched it out and could tell it dont want that anywhere near the bed. 2nd pitch finally got it hooked and caught. So probably a jig would work as well. As soon as the skirt flared up on the chatterbait it was mad lol. Just my experience. And I targeted this for over a hour

I usually make a trip in early September. When its still fairly warm but getting cooler. But you know how the weather is lol. But have been in july and August but seems like i have the best success in September for w.e reason. Actually caught my pb on chetac with 6lbs. The fish in my picture isnt my personal best but it was taken there. Whats is the best time you think for around you is for bass. But love the pike too

Yeah I wasn't sure if they was for sure doing the weed kill. Thats disappointing... hope it doesn't affect much. But yes I have fished Red Cedar. But never have birch lake. But im jealous you live up there lol. Great place with great fishing.

Silver minnow just classic. I've caught alot of bass on it. Still use it today with no trailer. As stated pike also love this.

Where is that your located in Wisconsin? Like other cities? I go up once a year to lake chetac in Sawyer county. Fishing is amazing everywhere it seems in Wisconsin. Think Chetac is a grade A bass lake from what people tell me up there. But just was curious.

Totally agree colt. I went to my pond I go to friday. Fished it, caught a few, but before I left I just sat down for a few drinking a Gatorade and taking everything in. Thinking wow this is really great. Out here by myself no calls or texts. Just taking nature and all of its beauty in. Thinking im very blessed. You are not weird by any means. As stated great just to relax and take it all in.

I dont like fishing reservoirs in indiana or least where I am is because of the fluctuation of man letting water out. As where natural lakes are not messed with by man. And just referring to man letting water out. So I think there is a difference if this happens

Maybe they are just focused on finding a mate and not feeding. Same thing happened to me and someone explained to me on here that might be the reason. But you being in north Carolina idk spawning times.

This is strictly amazing... why do we keep bashing the guy? Can someone answer why it's impossible about when he says them hitting the tail first then the head??? Like I said just because it doesn't happen to you does it automatically mean it can't happen? Give the guy a break. Hes just saying his experiences.
