  1. I like the Falcon Bucco Micro BMC-72MH for any topwater small than a Spook. It's a 7ft 2in med-hvy rod, 10-17 lb line, 1/8 to 3/8 oz lures. I'm a bank fishing guy who prefers that a single rod that can serve multiple techniques. I throw squarebills, small jigs, topwaters, small Texas rigged and weightless worms with this.
  2. Try them all. One will out fish the other on a particular day. I fished a bank tournament, a few months ago, and the flavor of the day was made by a company called Sebile. I started off with a Red Eye, moved to a Rat-l-trap, and then to a Sebile Vibe Machine in an orange craw color. Caught 21 bass in the next 2 hours. Each has a different sound.
  3. I've tried both the InVisx and the Red Label. I have 4 Abu Garcia STX's loaded all the reels with both lines and I can't tell the difference between them. Great line!!!
  4. I'm a bankbeater, so loosing lures is a common thing. The one that bothers me the most is when I lost my favorite topwater, a Owner Zip-n-Zig. I had just caught a bass, reached down, being cautious of the sharp hooks, and the line broke. The bass flopped in the water, swam off, jumping several times trying to throw the bait. Lost!!! Now, as I'm walking the banks I always find lures. My latest find was a Jackall Binsky. That's one weird looking lure! Never seen anything like it. Found it on a online retailer and saw it was a $15 lure. Cool!!!
  5. It's a 6.3:1 gear ratio. These things last forever!
  6. My biggest issue with Academy is their selection or should I say lack of. Not a fan of their brand of rods, but that is currently the top line of rods at the store near my house. Been shopping this store for the past 15 years and in the past I've found Ducketts, Falcon's, and Castaways, but no more. The department manager said those brands are not what "his customers" are looking for. I could order online, but that's not the point. I would like to go and actually look and purchase it. I do still purchase all my terminal tackle from them, so I still go there frequently.
  7. I consider myself lucky because I have 3 stores within a 15 mile radius. Most people in this area perfer Academy, but to me their selection is poor, so I will hit up these 3 stores searching for deals.
  8. Carolina rigs, Texas rigged plastics, jigs, and buzzbaits.
