  1. I don't use any mono it's just to much hassle to me. I'm gonna get a couple reels spooled up and get an extra 15 and 30 pound 150 yd spool to keep on hand
  2. It's a great deal to get reel spooled maybe I'll get a extra spool to have its not as good a deal buying bulk spools but still a deal
  3. So a local tackle shop is having there annual spring Saturday. And they are selling fins wind tamer ( my preferred braid) at 20% off spools or spooling reels at 5 cents per yard. Most of my reels are spooled up and good to go. But I'm curious do you guys keep extra spools of line on hand?
  4. A co worker had this mount he never even used once! I had to add a hole to make it work on my canoe but that was no big deal. Scored it for $20!!!!
  5. Awesome thanks everyone I'll be giving them a try
  6. Knots not an issue at all. Just curious if anyone actually is doing It is all.
  7. Prime time summed it up! I go straight for a stick bait T rigged or a 1/4 ounce white rooster tail. They'll usually tell ya if there's fish pretty quick even if the stick bait gets short strikes you'll know!
  8. I've searched a lil and seen a couple vids. But does anyone use small snap swivels or just the snap part to change lures quickly and see what they are biting on? Does it change the action that bad?
  9. Very very nice! I like the organization. I'm still fine tuning my small pack and trimming weight. Excellent Write up also!!!
  10. I have had great luck with berkley Lightning rod shocks and halo starlight and day lite rods. I much prefer the halo rods. There worth looking at

  13. I'm really Impressed with the reel. And at that much of a discount it's an excellent deal
  14. Grabbed a daiwa lexa 100 finally from TW when they went on sale for $69 and they still are! Excellent lil reel for the money! Only complaint is the knobs are loose and a lil funny. But Id read that before hand in reviews. It casts excellent! Weightless trick worms dialed in on 3-4 is no issue at all to get 60 feet with 30 pound braid!
  15. Added a sticker lol! Trolling motor and mount soon!
  16. Funny way of wording it to someone Whois just looking for a lil help
  17. Check craigslist in your area. You would be suprised the deals ya can get. And what ya can do with a cheap canoe
  18. Oh I know it is. I was just throwing rough sizes out there for anyone who cared is al
  19. For size comparison left to right. 3/4 ounce steel, 1 ounce lead, and then a 1 ounce tungsten flipping weight. They all work fine just different sizes
  20. I will say there is some pretty amazing people on this forum.total strangers that want to help and extend there knowledge to us. It's truly amazing there is still great people out there! Thank you to you all
  21. Very subjective question. We all have our own opinions. Go to a,local shop and actually hold and feel the rods you like. That's the best way
  22. Added a zig zag cleat today for anchoring. Only put one on the back by my seat for now.
  23. Thanks a lot guys more pics to come soon!
  24. I recently got some 1 ounce tungsten. Since I'm getting a lil more serious about punching. Bit I've een messing with lead no issue what so ever. It works fine. I've also used the steel weights. The only difference is size
  25. If you like nice things and are in a position to get them and not owe debt. Why not! Just be responsible. Were all at different points in life. I personally am a young guy with a family. I buy mid grade equipment so I can maximize my technique specific. If I spent top dollar I couldn't have the several combos I have. But hey it's different strokes fr different folks. Enjoy what you bought and find a new tackle shop. I won spend money where people talk down to me out of ignorance and jealousy.
