  1. I HATE MURKY WATER FISHING. But often I have deal with it, especially in summer. Fish close to cover and not too deep. Would not recommend a spinnerbait, I would recommend a 12 inch dark colored curly tailed worm on a bladed jig head. If the water isn't too warm, a spinnerbait is fine however, I like chatterbaits better.
  2. I recently picked up a no8 tackle blackout 7 ft 3 inch baitcasting rod to pair with my lfs, and here is what I think: The rod is super light and balances perfectly with the lfs My first fish off this rod was my PB of 6.73 pounds and it horsed the fish in so quickly that I had a hard time believing how big the fish was based off how the rod manhandled it. The guide inserts show no wear so far although the tip is somewhat easily scratched but whatever and the guides are wrapped very clean. Rod handles light tubes up to small bluegill swimbaits and can cast them amazingly.
  3. A margarita purple color for your finesse worms would be good. White/Chartreuse spinner bait is a good compromise between clear and muddy water, sexy shad cranks, orange lipless cranks, watermelon soft stick baits or green pumpkin, Okeechobee craw jig.
  4. I would like to catch a bass every trip in the spring .
  5. channel catfish. at my reservoir there are consistent catches of 8 pounders even in the winter.
  6. nice fish I went today and there were no bites!
