  1. Do any of you tube gurus rig them weedless with a round bend hook? I prefer round bend hooks and have struggled to effectively rig them weedless.
  2. I’m usually around 30-32”.
  3. What are the wires and the white thing for?
  4. Elite series 7’ baitcaster Heavy their website is a little confusing.
  5. Lol. Don’t get me started on all the posts about a reel being a “7 speed”. Is it a manual or automatic? ? my best frog rod ever was a Hammer 7’ heavy with the same specs as the Cashion. I would definitely give the Cashion a shot or check out the Hammer for another option.
  6. I prefer graphite. I tried a few glass rods and I just didn’t connect with the feel. I also felt like I could cast more accurate and farther with graphite over glass.
  7. Was he the guy selling cheap tatsu?
  8. Bass Pro has one of the worst websites around for tackle shopping. Luckily there are way better options available.
  9. They just were not comfortable in my hand. The location of the trigger placed my hand in the wrong spot and the smaller size of the trigger let it dig into my finger. i use Daiwa tatula reels and I like that they are somewhat larger size than other brands. Other reels may have been a better fit for that rod but I didn’t try anything else. I’m not knocking megabass at all, some people may find them very comfortable. the action on the jerkbait rod was perfect so I spent them money to make it work for me.
  10. I would advise the op to try before you buy. The levante jerk bait rod action is perfect. I just had the reel seats replaced on 2 brand new levante rods. It was either sell or fix them. The megabass reels seats are terrible.
  11. Our junebugs are green
  12. As someone that doesn’t use flouro you may be disappointed in this line considering it is a low cost offering. I hope you like it and report to us with good feedback.
  13. I am a sunline sniper user and recently gave invizx a try. I have been impressed so far. Red label was strong but manageability was bad, tatsu was manageable but seamed a little too “soft” for my liking, but invizx seems just about right. I will certainly try it on a few more rods this year.
  14. I would argue that under normal conditions that flouro does indeed stretch less than mono. testing line at it breaking strength is a poor way to judge real world fishing situations.
  15. Some people claim to be able to feel every bump of pea gravel and never miss a bite on big game and an ugly stick. I’m not that good so I use fluorocarbon for bottom contact lures because it helps me detect strikes and bottom composition much better than any mono that I have tried. Flouro is a little harder to manage but the sensitivity of it outweighs the manageability. Give a mid level flouro like sniper or invizx a try. You might like it.
  16. Tackle warehouse gets hacked and TW are sob’s. A storage unit get hacked and the thieves are to blame. it sucks either way but I can’t help but notice the irony.
  17. Round bend works best for me.
  18. What bait is that?
  19. Are you using the mh moderate crank bait rod or the standard mh mod fast?
  20. I would never consider any Lew’s reel without a supported pinion gear. After owning several Lew’s reels I would also be wary of the new P2 supported ones based on my experience with the older reels. Even with yearly maintenance nearly all of my Lew’s reels got rough feeling after 1-2 seasons.
  21. I literally cannot tie the palomar knot without it failing. I’m sure that I am getting twist or crossing the line but I can’t figure it out. I’m left handed but somewhat ambidextrous. I guess I get something crossed up. I use the uni knot almost exclusively and have very good success. That said I believe the San Diego jam is a slightly better knot. Wetting the line is imperative.
  22. I feel pitching and skipping are techniques that use the exact same rod. As I’m working my way around cover I need the same rod to be able to cast , pitch and skip my lure into the target zone. I like a 7’ rod in heavy power.
  23. What’s kicked out mean?
