If you are using it for 3/8oz jigs, swim jigs and buzzbaits I’d use the Falcon swim jig rod. If 1/2oz and up go with the amistad. I’m not sure that the Hudson would do anything your existing rods cant do better.
My hammer 7’ hvy did not have the same soft tip as my hammer 6’9” hvy. Maybe it was a slight variation between those 2 rods or maybe all of them are that way. The 7’ was a really nice rod but the tip wasn’t as soft as the 6’9”.
With a 3/4oz weight any $100 and up reel should throw it far enough. I get good distance out of a $99 Daiwa. If I wanted more I would get the tatula elite long cast.
You can bill a new one to your credit card.?
I have no first hand experience but I believe there is a guy that repairs them and I’ve read megabass will replace them if mailed back.
Sometimes the thumb bar doesn’t fully engage when turning slow or without resistance on the spool. Once it fully clicks into position it will be smooth.
7’ Falcon mh mod fast. Let you budget choose what series. I like the Bucoo and Low Rider series best for walking baits.
Edit: if you are talking about the 3/4 or 7/8 oz option for those baits I would use the Hammer 6’9” H rod. It doesn’t an amazing job with heavier walking baits.
I have never had an issue with tackle warehouse. When I need something quickly I pay for 2 day air and I get it on time. If I’m in no rush I order ground and don’t even pay attention to how long it takes. They are my go to online tackle shop.
I recently ordered a couple of spools from sds custom on ebay. They arrived from Ukraine in just 10 days .
it is very hard to decipher what they fit and the type of spool. One of mine is a hyper long cast sv. Can an sv spool be a long cast too? Time will tell. I haven’t tried that one out yet.
