  1. 1) Paitence 2) Since I do nothing but early morning fishing, the fun and exciting part for me is watching, hearing, and seeing nature wake up.

  3. Stupid laptop went out on my so zero tackle purchases for me
  4. Wow this is heart breaking news, prayers to his family and friends.
  5. On Gamblers website they have a overstock section. Bags of 50 or 40 for $10 on whatever color they have to much of.
  6. I'm putting together a first aid kit and one thing the naughty nurse at work told me NOT to use was peroxide. Appartly it is no longer advised or used in the medical field as it does more harm then good (google confirmed it). She strongly recommended Betadine to disinfect any wounds (after being flushed out with clean water). Food for thought.
  7. Very sad, sounds like he was/is a man of God and with that he is on a huge lake with nothing but 15lb+ bass right now. May his family & friends find peace in God in these trying times.
  8. If I mount a fish it has to be 10+lbs and I'm going to mount the fish I catch not a rep. of some one elseses.
  9. I landed a nice one this morning (7am) on a swim jig with a Gambler Big EZ in SC waters that are wrecked right now due to the butt load of rain we got recently. So yes they work in muddy/stained water just fine you just need a trailer that move some water well.
  10. Plan on doing some uber early fishing this weekend and wanted a light with plenty of power. I figured a headlamp would be the best choice since I could handle a fish (and un hook it safely) and not worry about droping a light or placing a flashlight in my mouth. I also wanted a powerful light so when I walk up to the bank I can clearly see the ground and watch for snakes or gators at the edge or close by. After plenty of research I found what fit my needs & wants to a tee, enter the Thrunite TH10 Mode & Runtime: Firefly (0.2 lumens, 65 days), Low (11 lumens, 107hours), Medium (172 lumens, 9 hours), High (490 lumens, 178 minutes), Turbo (750 lumens, 118 minutes),SOS(750 lumens, 270 minutes) I pretty much have my own personal sun on my four head
  11. The weather here sucked and I had to work last night so I didn't miss a thing.
  12. I don't share honey holes ever.
  13. Recently I've had 2 bands fail from a manufacturer I did not expet it from so I will be hand tying new skirts on. Having said that my D&M jigs still have their bands on and never slide off. My Siebert & North Star jigs (hand tied only jigs) have never failed and never slide. If I can wait I'll order hand tied jigs and if I can't and D&M has what I am looking for I have zero issue ordering them.
  14. Mend-It is already paying off fixing some plastics, why the heck did I wait so long I'll never know. Posted in an earlier post I bought some skirts and 24g cooper wire for when (not if) the Zman chatterbaits skirts come off (as well as other skirted baits I have).
  15. I love MegaStrikes grubs (laminate smoke, craw, watermelon silver) on a chatterbait or swim jig as well (The Mega Bug is amazing as well).
  16. Regular book bag for me, calling it a fishing backpack jacks up the cost for little pockets here and there (not worth it for me).
  17. The only right answer is.......let the fish tell you.
  18. Since my MegaStike lures have lost their skirts (band split on both) I decided to try my hand in tying my own skirts on so I placed an order with fishingskirts.com. I also wanted a thicker skirt on my Zman TW custom chatterbaits with a much better (to me) bright pure white/chartruse skirt like the old Phenix vibrator jigs used.
  19. I would find a jig close in color(s) or have one made. Good looking fish.
  20. If grass is breaking the surface I reach for the Rage Toad or Pad Daddy, if grass is 1 inch below the surface I reach for a buzz bait (to high and the prop tangles up with grass), if grass is at least 3 inches below the surface I reach for the Jitter bug (treble hooks will catch grass if it's to high). All three types have there place so you NEED at least three types for any given situation.
  21. LOL I thought this topic was something else also, I was hoping this going to turn into a huge LOL fest. Reminded me for a guy on a mustang forums asking where he could purchase cheap high quality picture frames for his SVT certificate. It's been about 5 years and he still hasn't heard the end of it.
  22. Donkey Punch jig BKO Jig (Bass Knock Out)
  23. You might get lucky but the last time I tried it they could careless about my fake lures when minnows are schooling and they were feeding on them.
