I use those little pool ones whenever they get 4 degrees over I change the water. It's quite a challenge with a 5 fish limit though. Especially when you forget to put cull buoys on.
I was fishing a high school tourny on lake Murray some guy blew his lower unit off on a rock.. He got it 2 months before, consider yourself lucky for any problems to your motor. There's always so one who went through worse.
Cheap and easy trick. Get some storm bluegill swim baits put them on a bobber depending on depth so they are just off the bottom. Just inch it closer and closer with a few quick darts here and there, it works well for me here in SC.
I always pay at least 30$ in gas money depending on how much we are running. I was meaning more towards like motor failure and the boater blames it on you and says you have to pay half of the repair cost. I think it's best to lay out what you will be doing during the day. Where you want things and how you operate its always best to know.
I'm throwing it on a 7' MH rod with a 6:4:1 ratio reel the 1/4 ounce lets me reel the bait fast but having it still sink down. Also I find it much easier to throw as its double the weight.
You don't want to do that. It's way to heavy one. That will not fit the lure one bit.
Just use a octopus hook and let it sink very slowly. That the best way to fish a Senk with nice light taps. Don't rush it just slow down and twitch it.
