  1. Not the right tool for the described job. Use a chatter bait or spinner bait in white
  2. I use the federal sxt.
  3. Flouroclear is not fluorocarbon. It is a coated line. I use flouroclear in 8lb for trout. It is very thin.
  4. Tried them and switched to the owner welded snaps. I would never use any snap on a jig.
  5. Go custom. What specs you looking for. Daiwa flex light or xbd.
  6. I use 12khz to 6000fms. I would think you should be good to at least 300 feet depending on your unit.
  7. You should get more resolution and definition at the higher frequency. The lower is for deep water.
  8. that is a very spefic question with very open variables. Simply no.
  9. Check out the death trap trebbles.
  10. Try using a longer slower action rod to keep them pinned.
  11. In that situation I have used serberts shakey head with a hula grub. You can swim it to good effect as well.
  12. I think you will like the 30. I use 20 and the knots do wonders on my hands. My friend uses 30 and ties 6 lb leaders for trout. The very thin lines less than 20 cut you very easy. You may want to get some knot rings if tying those thinner line's.
  13. I hate the wind in my yak. At those temps I would like to use a jerkbait and jig. I guess I would try a lipless or bladebait.
  14. Is there a way to make a sticky poll post so people can vote and when this question comes up the poster will have all the info and options readily available. This is something that would be interesting to look at for me as well and would be a great resource for people looking to buy that next rod.
  15. No need for a monster reel at or below 2oz. I would run an pre- tws zillion with 15-20 lb yo-zuri or p-line cxx. A dobyns 795 would be a good rod choice. If you want a round reel a Luna or Calcutta are both quality reels.
  16. Spinning is invesx, sniper, or pline 100% in 6lb. Casting is p-line 15lb shooter, or abrazx. If you want to buy only one line I would recommend p-line 100%.
  17. sounds like you need a set on your belt so there always at hand. Not enough room in my yak to be out of arms reach. I do have them hidden under the seat sometimes and that's a real pain.
  18. I lube mine up real good with a wax chain lube. Keeps the rust down. KVD uses regular snapon needle nose and they were rusty.
  19. The river2sea wa. He has a video using that frog on the delta at least.
  20. I second the duo bait and the river2sea bubble walker. They have both caught a bunch of fish for me.
  21. Hell yes and its my current favorite. More line than seaguar 250 vs 200 and its great. I use it and sunline sniper.
  22. Has sonic braid been replaced by what is now the braid superline? If so when did this happen? Looks like TW has only 8 lb in the old sonic.
  23. What size are we talking here? I have caught a ton on the 4-5" keitech easy shiners and swing impacts. I am still hopeful to catch a Huddleston bass some day.
  24. I oder gear sets from the tackle trap.
  25. You can make it work just do not let the bait sit and the line sink.
