  1. The rage is made in mexico along with the rest of their rods below an avid. I buy avids for that reason.
  2. Not that i know of, it is a feel and timing thing that just takes practice on the water.
  3. check out a few diffrent ones as the action is a little diffrent. The spro lipless are very life like looking and the luckycraft 500 also has a very good action.
  4. Zoom super hawg. There a great bait and i can toss it under a dock and then go right back to pitching and punching the weeds!
  5. The sixty and below mark is the same for me. There are always those days that buck the trend.
  6. I liked 20 when i used it, but i wore really fast. I had the line fray badly in less than a season of heavy fishing. It was on my primary rod so i got a lot of use.
  7. [quote name="new2BC4bass" post="1669322" timestamp="14201 Personal preference. I love my Fenwick Elite Tech Smallmouth rods, but some may absolutely hate the short handle they have.
  8. Started looking around the house for a place to practice pitching. I know if I brake something I will never hear the end of it. Tried to fish on Monday and gave up three hours in almost frozen. Temps in the twenties my southern blood has me hiding inside.
  9. All of my duo baits are marked
  10. For what purpose? I like it for dropshot but p line 100% works for me just as good. If the cheaper option is working what is the benifit of spending more.
  11. I also use three colors brown black and white. I throw spro but the wa is great also!
  12. Finish what you started and stand up for the obligation to the team. You will be proud in the end you stuck it out. What's a month out of a lifetime.
  13. Size of bait matters a lot. Most times I run medium, but a g2 shellcracker is way to heavy for that rod. Taper will also change the weight some choose.
  14. they have me to. Beautiful baits
  15. Now if he worked the spoon put down maneuver he might be good.
  16. Well I thought I was going to make out on some deals off the bay. I picked up an avid 70MF which ended up having a groove in the striper guide, and the third guide had the coating shattered. I paid 105 and it is going back for repair. The rod came from a pawn shop so I was not expecting much. He refunded me 50 for the repair so I will brake even on the deal. The second was an older legend tournament with the full handle and was a 70MHF. I paid 140 for that rod and it was supposed to be perfect. I unwrapped it and the first guide after the tiptop was broken and the insert was gone. I am waiting for a response on this situation. Bummed as both of my new toys are broken. Thinking I might try their upgrade program and get a legend elite and deal with a new rod vise a referb.
  17. The yo-zuri soft is for spinners. Berkly xl is a lot better for handeling.
  18. I got cash from mom and dad. Picked up two old rods a legend tournament with the full handle mhf 7' and an older 7'MF avid. The coolest thing I would guess is my 91 year old paps tackle box filled with old lures. This year was good.
  19. Grew up in San Diego and having a little fun with ya. Now in kitsap and the high for tomorrow will be 35. That's not to bad but 60 would be heavenly.
  20. The bass maffia boxes are the best but costly. They are worth it to me for terminal tackle and jigs. I had a 3701 for a while from plano that was decent
  21. Considering it was 80 on Tuesday while I was visiting you must need a parka to be out on the water.
  22. Yo-zuri ultra soft or seaguar invisx. Both handle great. If looking for low stretch flouro then p-line 100% 6lb.
  23. Meet up do an inspection take some pics and take a few days to decide. See if the original owner contact info is available.
  24. Check out the video on tactical bassen for more information.
  25. I have a limber eclipse pro 2 with a 4 inch barrel. I love it and stainless is easy to care for. It is very accurate and when looking it had great reviews.
