Depends. A synthetic will not change. Most likely just the bottle. A refined oil will slowly break down and not be good. I cannot understand with the volume required to do a good job why people would not just buy the good stuff. Insert favorite brand.

If there was only one choice then it would be easy. There are to many conditions and techniques to be a one line show. If your into leader knots then braid does a lot but I will continue to use all the tools available because I can. Right now I use mono for top waters in very clear water and no cover. Braid will do the job but with as clear as the water is I think mono is superior in this case and I don't like leaders.

I agree tubes are a fantastic choice. In WA green colors with purple blue or red flake seem unstoppable. A trick worm is also very versatile. Grubs are a good fallback plan. If I had three choices those would be where I would start.

For t rig I agree. I use wacky and more semi exposed hooks and you will need a little more power to penetrate threw plastic. 2/0 and larger you may want MH.

I use them like a tool. If i have to drink one to stay awake on a car trip then its worth it to not fall asleep and die. I have only done this twice ever and its a last resort. People who drink them daily are taking a risk to there health that they may not fully understand.

I used the owners with the hyper wire split rings and the bait sinks slowly. I was doing some reasearch and the death trap trebbles are supposed to be good and not be any heavier. If tuning then consider removing the split ring up front and running a lighter snap like the owner welded stainless clip. The middle size has worked the best for me on this lure.

The medium fast might be good for tubes with an open hook, what do you plan to use the rod for. I use and love my MLXF. I use it for a lot of stuff.

Berkely caused some confusion for a while and had a braid that was called fire line. That has now changed. The orginal fused line sucks. Tons of great choices as said earlier. There are a lot of new briads out there that are 8 carrier and i have not seen any reviews yet. Suffix performance braid is at some walmarts and so is 832. Both are good stuff if thats all you have access to. A leader might be a good idea, black is visible at all depths and i dont see how that would help.

Who has the best rates for shipping rods. I get a lot of rods ups and FedEx. Is one better and cheaper.

The level really maters. At the low end reel all the way. A low budget reel can ruin an outing or catch of a lifetime. On the high end I spend more on rods because I never seem to find the deals I can on reels.

No. The blank is a different formula. The taper will be simullar but not exactly the same.

Has to do more with the density of the line and speed of the rod in most cases. Faster rods that are well built are normally better. There are always exceptions

I would say that 45 is very cheap. You should look at deep cycle chargers, You may get away with that low of a price if its not an on board unit but this will directly effect the life and performance of your battery. so you have to break the rod first. Havent ever broken a croix rod so far so that leaves me out.

For small boat I would recommend a sealed battery. The don't have all the capacity of lead acid but are a lot safer.
