  1. No such thing when it comes to a good bonfire. Trust the guy with penciled in eyebrows.
  2. First of all, where do you live because with 7 lb. bass in a lake, I want to be your neighbor. Now lets discuss your question. Bass will be where the food is. That is what they do to survive. Find the bait, find the bass. Also your assumption that the bass aren't eating the trout is probably wrong. I've seen 15 inch bass try to eat 9 inch trout. They will eat anything they can and a 7 lb. bass can eat a lot.
  3. I know what you are talking about. For as long as I can remember we had a closed season for bass up to the 3rd Saturday in June. It wasn't really enforceable since people could just say they were fishing for walleye, pike, pickerel or panfish. Only way to bust them is if they had a bass in the livewell or cooler.

@Sam is that a one-time purchase or do you have to pay every month for the app?
  5. Truly beautiful.
  6. Woo hoo! Finally got lucky on my picks.
  7. Did Cherry ever catch that fish? I had to take a nap otherwise I would have watched anything else.
  8. Spring has sprung. With temps in the upper 50's its time to celebrate. Of course, at my age celebrating is limited to a 2 hour walk in the woods but you take what you can get.
  9. Doing pretty good so far.
  10. The Ollie's in Wilkes Barre has Savage Gear 3D Bluegill baits. Was surprised to see them there. Check your local Ollie's.
  11. The greatest hockey movie ever. Can't beat the Hanson Brothers.
  12. Who do you know and can you introduce me to them?
  13. My pick is the Rapala Husky Jerk, followed closely by the Original Floating Rapala. The only thing that the Husky Jerk has over the Original is the colors, in my opinion.
  14. Can a cart go before a horse? Cause the last time I checked, the horse has to pull the cart. Am I wrong on this? Or have I been misinformed all these years?
  15. That is so true. The lake I fish on has a "Big Bass" designation and the only big bass I catch on it are 11 inches. You can catch a ton of them but they will all be what I call the lake average, 11 inches and less than a pound. They need to encourage the culling of smaller bass to ensure the bigger bass get enough food to grow. That is why, even in the dead of summer you can still catch bass on a spinnerbait. Too many bass, not enough food.
  16. I believe a chicken can cross the road without fear. Of course he must file the proper paper work for such a crossing and contact all local government agencies to ensure that the crossing is, indeed, legal. Also conduct an impact study to see how the chicken's crossing will hurt the environment. Then the chicken would have to get the permits o.k.ed by a third-party and include proof of insurance and use the proper safety barricades and employ guards on both sides of the road. Only then should the chicken cross the road. You mean the Johnny Red-Eye?
  17. I think they move back cause they know I'm coming through.
  18. Just an update on the question I asked everyone on the forum. I passed along the ideas brought up by everyone who replied and my friend was quick to put the suggestions to his supervisors. They liked the responses and are looking into including parents into the program for teaching kids to fish. Also not concentrating only on trout but more on sunfish which are prominent and easy to catch in our area was a hit with the powers that be. All the ideas were received well and I hope some changes come in the near future to protect the sport we all love. Thanks to everyone for your ideas.
  19. I think you'll be safe for Wednesday. Good luck and hope you catch them all.
  20. Don't fret. It takes more than a couple of days to freeze a lake.
  21. ^^^^Good one. If you want a way to avoid that in the future you could always make a long cast, pull off about 30 feet of line and then put a piece of scotch tape where the line meets the spool. That way the line can't backlash any further than the piece of tape. Just a suggestion.
  22. Actually, he was right just not for your region. His forecast was for Florida where he has a summer home.
  23. I had a 68 Plymouth with the same problem and it only went in reverse too.
  24. The shape of that hook looks like it would be great to put a big soft plastic bait onto. Just what I'm looking for to put a SK Rage Structure Bug on. You know what they say about big baits!
