  1. Any bass this late in the year is a good bass but that is impressive.
  2. After all of this years precipitation its definitely "Rain Man".
  3. I tried to buy something this Black Friday but couldn't make it happen. Stopped by Dick's and found a DT crankbait at $5.58 and a 30% discount on top of that, also a pack of Keitech Fat Impacts 4.8 for $4.99. Took them to the checkout line and stopped dead in my tracks. The line was all the way to the back of the store and only 2 checkout lines open. I ain't waiting 2 hours to buy 2 things, I don't care what kind of deal I get.
  4. Amazing tool. Definitely good for those of us with arthritis.
  5. It the 6th anniversary of the "Butt Fumble". Happy Thanksgiving everyone.....even you, Mark Sanchez.
  6. Congrats for the un-official record and catching the ugliest looking bass in the lake.
  7. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone and to those who are fishing today good luck.
  8. You forgot education and gusts of wind combined with a little rain.
  9. @PAbasser927 Thanks for the info. Come spring I'll check out the D&L rail trail.
  10. While you're at it, tell that to Ben Roethlisberger. He's taken more shots to the head than a Cuban welterweight.
  11. My first time at Black Lake in NY, I'm fishing with a friend. I toss a spinnerbait into the shallow weed bed and start reeling it in. Just as the lure breaks free of the weeds I feel a thump and the line goes slack. I reel like there is no tomorrow and catch up with the fish. As soon as the fish starts going down in the water column I can feel the weight of the fish against my medium-heavy rod and I know its a big fish. As I jump down from the back of the boat to get better footing and stop the boat from rocking I see where my line enters the water has changed. Its no longer close to the boat but now is much further away and at a low angle. That always means the fish is coming to the surface and he's doing it quick. I try to ease off the tension by moving the rod towards the fish but its too late. All I can do is watch as a huge smallmouth bass crests the surface of the water, shakes once and the spinnerbait comes flying back at me. All my friend could say with a deflated voice was "That one was big.". A memory I will never forget.
  12. Or maybe he did it patting himself on the back. Sorry, couldn't resist that old joke.
  13. That is what my dad use to call "Summer Teeth". Some are teeth, some are not.
  14. What are the chances they would deliver it using a drone? I'd put aside my objections to the lack of effort if they were delivered using the sky-drop method. Also it would give me much needed target practice with my grandpappys .22 just in case of a zombie apocalypse or machines becoming sentient and trying to take over the world.
  15. Might I suggest investing in a Sawzall and a small vice. It may save you a trip to the dentist or worse, that guy at the flea market that pretends to be a dentist but is actually a sadist.
  16. You can't buy a smile like the one on your face @Bluebasser86
  17. Nice to see someone understands my mindset.
  18. You take the challenge away. How are we suppose to know if we are worthy of the sweet pistachio meat inside if at first we do not fight our way through the tough outer shell?
  19. You are a kind husband.
  20. Am I the only one that when you find a pistachio with no opening you think "That must be the best pistachio meat inside that pistachio. Far better than all the easy to open pistachios. Yes, that pistachio meat must taste like heaven." and then proceed to spend 3 hours, $210 in tools and a pint of your own blood opening said pistachio? Let us discuss this.
  21. That is cool.
  22. That's why there should be a hour delay from the time you wake up from a nap and when you get on the internet.
  23. My bad. Didn't realize it was in tackle making section.
  24. If you drink enough you'll forget....everything!
