  1. I'll just watch em al
  2. So the one on Kentucky lake?
  3. What year? I am looking for it now.
  4. Every rod I own cost me less than $100. I'm a kid and work my but off for my money doing a physical job so I make sure I get the value for my dollar. Shop around and buy used.
  5. Ok, thanks!
  6. I was using 10# Sunline Supernatural on a Medium power casting rod. I knocked it against a rock and the front treble had one of the hooks just break off. I only replace stock hardware if it breaks, so I will replace these and hopefully get them to suspend right. Thanks for the hook recommendations @smalljaw67 and @Bluebasser86 I will pick up some today.
  7. On all jerkbaits or just the big STX Jerkbaits?
  8. Just buy XT or Big Game and be done with it.
  9. Took enough post to hear this. This is what I would want 10 times out of 10.
  10. Posted this elsewhere but caught two on a suspending Jerkbait today.
  11. Welcome Ron. Have you ever fished Acton Lake at Hueston Woods? Thinking about taking a trip there for Spring Break
  12. I feel like we should make a poll somehow. It would be complicated, but if there was a way to take all factors in, like average size bass, amount of fishing opportunities, tourist traffic (boo!!), number of sport fish species, biggest bass, economic prosperity, and overall contentment/happiness to truly size up the best fishing city in the states, or the NA Continent
  13. Previous Gen Ipad Mini. Too bad I already sold mine That or a Kindle Fire is your best bet.
  14. That red one certainly has a "pop" to it.
  15. There are different types of jerkbaits. The most common for bass is the suspending Jerkbait. It is fished with twitching and pausing of different cadences to create an erratic action that helps trigger suspended or lethargic fish into swatting at it. I would also reference the thread pinned up to, and the one I just recently posted. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/108594-jerkbait-help-advice/ http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/166614-duo-realis-jerkbaits/
  16. Ended up fishing the 3/8 oz 4.5" RC STX bait because casting the smaller one was a nightmare today. Caught two decent sized fish, but one of my trebles broke. Only out for a couple of hours, as it was pouring down pretty good. The larger one did not suspend as well as the smaller one, since I already will be replacing hooks, what hooks should I get to help make the bait suspend better?
  17. Going out today, and decided I should probably tie on a jerk bait. My question, is what size jerkbaits do you usually use this time of year? Is there a rule of thumb for the size of jerkbaits?
  18. A bag of Cabela's Interesting thread title. Merry Christmas gentleman.
  19. Nice! It is starting to be that time of year for that color and bait!
  20. With the new update (which I really like) there is no longer a "friends" function, but now a new "following" function instead. Before the update I was friends with as many of the members who are from or live in Indiana as possible. I attempt to keep up with the local happenings and folks here on the form who are also Hoosiers. They offer relevant fishing information and news of local happenings and goings on. So where are those Hoosier members? I know there are plenty of you on these boards besides me! Feel free to post here with anything going on in the state, and where you guys are whacking those fish at of course! As for me, I'm from the Central part of the State, West of Indianapolis. Catch most of my fish out of small lakes and creeks by the house, always nice to be within a 5 minute drive of the house! I do get out and about and fish Racoon and Eagle Creek from time to time, although not as often as I'd like anymore. Hopefully that will change next year. Happy Holidays Hoosier
  21. We would be fishing around Spring Break so somewhere between March 24th-April 4th. What kind of fish are you catching at Acton? How is the traffic on the lake? Would it be navigable by kayak? If you have any pics that would be awesome. Not trying to steal your spots but we are trying to figure out if we want to go to Acton or to another lake over Spring Break.
  22. There should be a snap hanging out of the blade for you to tie to.
  23. Nice fish!
