  1. So far I love it. It loads up great when hooked up and is a favorite for sure. The adjustable section is a pretty cool feature. Not sure why there wasn't much chatter on these. Great series
  2. Had this happen a few times. One was a cumulus rod that was like new. Even when you note 'do not convey' they still do and a nice tube can snap. Insurance is a must and so is PVC. Fish it. Might be totally fine.
  3. My jerkbait setups. MB Valkyrie and Ronin.
  4. Go with 2500 on the 7 M. I went down to a 1000 for the light plus 7' but you should be fine with the 2500 size.
  5. I've fished several travel rods. Current two are Loomis Escape and Cabela's salt striker. Really like both. If I grabbed another it would be the new Fenwick HMG or Falcon Lowrider that was recently released. Loomis Escape can be found but they are discontinued. Loomis need to make another 3 piece stat!
  6. Not sure if this has been asked before but what's better Daiwa or Shimano?
  7. Evo, it happens. People make bad decisions I love MB and have certain model St. Croix's I enjoy too. Legend X is tempting but for spinning I can't get past the exposed threads and handle and the elite reel seat was my least favorite of any rod I have fished. Just was not comfortable in my hands. St. Croix sure had excellent build quality and CS. Really cant go wrong. Different strokes. Go get that new Xtreme!
  8. Just picked up my new combo. Bought a vanford reel and a cumulus cloud rod.
  9. I own both as well. All are great fishing sticks! In the sensitivity department....nrx will be your favorite. I prefer my GLX over Xtreme (first gen) for what it's worth. Tight lines
  10. Randy just leave the nrx alone or you will end up listing all the Croix's.....I promise
  11. OP, I would go for the 803S. 802S probably not enough power and 822 sounds like you ruled out. Out of the 3 mentioned I would still buy the 822 DSR since that is one of the best models. If you need it to handle worms and small jigs go with 803S for sure.
  12. I think Gary did fish these and the Steez side by side. I have several Steez AGS rods and they are awesome rods. They are not being sold off for new Xtreme rods. If you want a rod that will go head to head with Xtreme and is cheaper buy a Steez AGS.
  13. Nasci's are sweet for their price pt. I have a 3000 and buying a 2500 too. Great for inshore too.
  14. Go with the 6'-11' MH spinner for that. 6'-7" is a very light power rod. More finesse. I just received the 6'-11" for jerkbaits. Granted I'm talking 1/2 oz baits. Maybe little guys you could. I throw smaller jerkbaits on a 842S. 6'-7" is a cool stick though.
  15. E6X is a fine rod w/ a great warranty. I would go with a 7'-1" for the added length. Will look awesome with that reel too.
  16. I have the 842S in GLX and love the rod but it is a light power medium in my opinion. If you wanted to throw more than 3/8 oz. I highly suggest the 843S. I totally agree with others. The conquest is a sweet stick but destroyer addermine, steez AGS, poison adrena ect… seem right there with it and they have a cleaner build too. If you found one for a steal try it out!
  17. Fished so many different baits shallow and the best two in my neck of the woods are Megabass griffon and the discontinued Lucky Craft CB zero.
  18. That would make sense. Their new fly rods have the name 'plus' as well. Full cork? yes please.
  19. NRX is nice. Also check out the poison adrena 6'11 MH, extreme old or new style, GLX 852S, or Steez AGS Medium F.
  20. All are great reels but prefer stradic. I like the fact they work for inshore use. They are very comparable.slight edge to Ci4....my opinion
  21. Fishing almost all stradics, Ci4, and a couple tatula LT, kage reels. I cant imagine someone not liking a Ci4 at this price pt.
  22. Do you like the metanium so far?
  23. Had the 6-10 light and liked it. Was looking for something a little longer and ended up selling but I was impressed with it. I think its up there with the destroyer rods for sure. I think its more sensitive than expride and maybe close to GLX or on par. Very comfortable to fish too. Not sure what model Tywithay had but different strokes. If you like Daiwa go after a steez AGS. These are impressive and have really nice craftmanship.
