This is helpful and also mortifying. Never had issues with PVC. Shipping rods (for me) at least has been more hassle than its worth this past yr. I've also heard marking tubes 'fragile' makes them a target too. Insure your packages guys!
I thought you guys may get a kick out of this. Sent a thick PVC tube one state over and this is what the buyer received through USPS. I mean.....how?? Daiwa Steez RIP. This had to be deliberate. I was told these are not conveyed as well. It was insured but been shipping rods for over 6 yrs and never seen size 40 PVC mangled like this. What did they do run it over with a truck?
favorite ultra light / light spinner in this price range is without a doubt the Lamiglas X11. Cast inline spinners and smaller trout lures a mile. I have a 7' UL and its a fun little budget rod. Highly recommend it.
Yes, I use if for bass and a centerpin rod - its the do all rod for bass and steelhead
Darn, now I want to buy one again. Thinking metanium for pairing.
yeah! the 16'-0" GLX for better distance! no the yr lol.
Thanks 5by3. I have large hands too and that was my concern. Darn it....Appreciate the help guys.
Guys, anyone fish this series that can tell me if the reels seats are uncomfortable or if the trigger placement is annoying. I can't handle one locally Thanks!
A couple that I still remember
Brown trout Able nipper brand new $45 retail for $200
Able reel for $175 retail was $600
Steez AGS $220
NRX rods for $200
newer MB Destroyer $225
Stella $265
Shimano/G. loomis service was a little backed up in 2020 like everyone and their communication isn't always great if you have a long wait on a specific model but they always come through! Killer company
I have fished both series. The expride light plus and Daiwa BLX light are both killer rods. You probably could do smalller swimbaits but for me they were a light drop shot rod , very small jig heads, mirco cranks ect...I like SC but these are lighter rods than their ML. Expride is hard to beat at its price pt.
I remember few years back thinking....why would anyone spend $200 on polarized sunglass for fishing. I picked up a pair of Costas and I haven't fished the water without them since. You see more fish, they protected me from getting hit in the face dislodging baits, you can see critters like stingrays when SW fishing before you step on them. My favorite piece of fishing gear by far.
Hey, I own Stradic, Ci4, Tatula LT, and one new Kage. All have been great but stradic is the best for sure and also does double duty for SW. 1000 is a great choice for UL.
