Bought a old bantam curado 201 off an older mad I know for next to nothing. The reel has drag issues. No matter how tight I tighten the drag star down, the spool doesnt turn. May not be drag problem but something is wrong. Where can I send this for service? I dont need it cleaned because it is very clean, bearing and all, I checked but I need this fixed. Thanks

I fish for Tennessee Tech University. Currently 2nd in Cabelas School of the Year points. I fish all events and this fall we have had 5 tournaments. I pre fish the weekend before and leave thursday nigh before the tournament on saturday, miss one day of school per tournament. Bass boats is the only way to go. If you qualify for any of the big tournaments, FLW, BASS, BoatUS, You got to be in a bass boat. Fish bite year round, people also want to fish year round. Theres your answer. See if there is a college trail in your area. We fish another schools trail with many other teams in Tennessee. If theres not then yes. There has to be some sort of competition or people will lose interest. If you have any more questions just send me a PM

I have the 7'4" Heavy for frogs and I love it. I did break one once on undoubtedly a 10 lb. Guntersville hog but Daiwa sent me a new one and its been great.

I have a college tournament down there on Saturday and I was wondering if anyone knows what is going on down there. I am really hoping I can throw the frog but I guess I will have to see when I pre fish Friday. Any advice?

I know Bethel University is offering scholarships but there are not many. Here at Tennessee Tech, we pay $100 each year and were are in the club. We have our main trail we fish and you can also fish all of the big ones. Cabelas Collegiate, BoatUS, BFL college tournaments. There are always big ones going on down here. That is how you get discovered. No one looks at your basic 4 school trails. You got to fish the big ones.

Hi bassresource. I am a collegiate angler at Tennessee Tech University. After a year of fishing out of the back of a boat, I decided to buy my own. Ended up paying $2750 for a 1989 Stratos 275 Pro. Boat is is great mechanical shape after getting a few pumps replaced. Now I want to fix the clear coat. It's not the best but not awful. I was wondering how to do this and how much it would cost to do it myself compared the cost at marine shop. Also, I was thinking about getting a wrap for my schools colors and logos. How much would that be? Thanks to all help
