  2. Welcome to the forum! I'm from AL as well. I mostly fish Weiss and Neely Henry. I think you will find a lot of useful information on this forum.

  7. Academdy if I want to go in a store. Online, it's tackle warehouse or ebay. I normally take a once a year trip to BPS.
  8. I enjoy the quiet time, being outdoors, relaxing but I also enjoy compteting against others.
  9. Anybody tried out a hydrowave product? Do you think it improved your fishing, or are they a scam ? Your thoughts?
  10. Dead Boy Cove : Self explanatory The Cave Hole : A cave that filled in when the lake was built. It's 8-10ft all around it but the cave drops down to 80ft. Striper love it in the summer.
  11. Mine would go every time I went if she could but we don't always have a sitter for the kids. Her goal is to be able to load and unload the boat herself and go by herself sometimes and me keep the kids like she does for me most of the time.
  12. I was planning to fish this coming Saturday but the weather forecast shows winds at 25mph with gusts up to 35mph. So I'm planning to slip out Friday afternoon before the front moves in.
  13. I have tried these out once in the past. Caught some nice bass with it in my Grandfathers pond.
  14. Having the boat will make a big difference, since you will be able to fish offshore etc.
  15. Thanks man, I'm looking forward to getting over to Gunterville this Spring.
  16. I'm new to bass fishing, been a crappie fisherman up until now. I'm having difficulties locating bass on my local lake. (Weiss Lake in AL). Where would be a good place in general to start looking for bass this time of year? Water temp here is 72 degrees. We have a cold front coming in Saturday with a forcasted high of 52, was planning to fish that morning. I just want to catch one regardless of size to build some confidence. Thanks
  17. My condolences go out to you.
  18. Glad to be back, it bother's me to think of the time I wasted "golfing" instead of fishing. lol
  19. I generally step down to my dock and make a few casts before work. Being self employed I have a boss that doesn't care if fishing runs me a few minutes late. haha
  20. 1: My self 2: My son 3 My wife 4. My brother in law/Fishing Bro
  21. Guess I'm the odd one out. My mother taught me how to fish. She would take me down to the local lake to some folk's dock that she knew and we'd worm or minnow fish with a bobber. My father never liked to fish. My father in law is who got me into it big time though.
  22. I'm looking to buy a raymarine dragon fly for the console on my cc boat and a lowrance elite 7 for the bow. How can I sync the navionincs chips in both to show the same waypoints? Even if I had to do it at the end of the day that would be fine. Or would I be better off going with the same brand for console and bow ? Thanks
  23. Hey eveyone, My name is Ryan. I've been fishing since I was a kid. I'm 24, married with 2 great kids. I got out of fishing for the past 4 years or so. But now I'm back harcore with the goal to be a guide/tournament fisherman. Sold our house on the local golf course, sold all my golf equipment. Bought a house on the lake (deep yr round water) and just picked up a fishing boat. All with the wife's permission no less.. haha. I'm blessed to be married a women, whose father was a guide back in the 90's and early 2000's so she get's it. Looking to forward to reading the forum, refrshing myself and expanding my knowledge.
