  1. Oh, gotcha. Forgot they even made that one.
  2. The Supreme XT retails for $150, not $250.
  3. Why are you getting rid of your Shimano's?
  4. I'm assuming you found out the store model does that too. Most Shimano reels do, I would know. It causes no performance issues.
  5. It's totally normal for Shimano's.
  6. Yeah, I enjoyed using SX1 quite a bit.
  7. Super slick is okay...SX1 is a great line (used both). And you can't go wrong with Sniper.
  8. 15lb Daiwa J-Braid - 8lb Sunline FC Sniper
  9. I disagree, I own a Lew's Team Lite that seemed nice right away, but in a matter of 1 1/2 years, it hasn't held up very well. However, I haven't had that problem with my Curado's at all, and they're $60 less. It doesn't hold a finger to a Tatula Type-R either.
  10. I would suggest trying to stick with one brand for all 3. It will help you get used to the feel of your rods especially that you're starting out.
  11. The one you have is a Scorpion XT1500, the previous generation of the Scorpion 200. There is no current Chronarch other than the Ci4. The Chronarch E series was discontinued.
  12. You mean you can tell the past?
  13. I don't think I would be able to get over this...
  14. The amount of abuse put on packages from USPS and sometimes UPS even is unbelievable. You see those commercials of how they're all great people who work hard, but then a package arrives to your door like some of the pictures above. There is no excuse for anything like that. It is just straight carelessness at that point, and people who are that disrespectful towards others' packages shouldn't be working in a post office. I don't think they realize they're just a service sometimes. Not enough people have integrity in the workplace anymore.
  15. It has nothing to do with the size fish. Some people are just more comfortable using finesse casting setups than spinning combos.
  16. I'm not from Miami, HookdUP is.
  17. It was probably unnecessary for me to comment on the rod, use what you like and what catches you fish!
  18. That Metanium doesn't look right on a Duckett honestly. Good review, I'm saving up for a Met MGL myself.
  19. The Blackouts are on the lighter side of their ratings IMO.
  20. Better check those hooks...
  21. My point was that mechanically a reel with a higher gear ratio will bring in more line. That's not really arguable. That does not mean people who use lower gear ratio reels (I'm assuming you're in this group) are disadvantaged, they just may have to work a little harder.
  22. This is true, however faster reels do help you cover water, pick up slack, and get fish to the boat faster. That's just matter of fact.
