Not always about location, there could be 100 there one day and none the next. I've caught little bass on a bait bigger than them, then with the same bait catch a 4 or 5 pounder. So i don't think its bait size. I would say what matters most is action, don't matter what color, if that actions gets em going your golden.

As soon as they take it I wait 2 or 3 secs then, I try to rip their lips off.

Hey everybody, I'm new to the fourm and thought I'd tell a little about myself. I've lived on deerpoint lake my whole life and have been fishing it for as long as i can remember. I just got into bass fishing about 4 years ago, and recently got a little fisher hawk 3v aluiminum boat that I fixed up in school (I'm going to school for marine mechanics). So if anyones in the area and needs help with their boat or wants to go fishing I'd be more than happy to help.

The day i caught my PB, first fish i caught was 8 pounds 7 ounces. Then we caught 5 more fish between 3 and 5lbs.

Deer point lake is fish on alot, so average 1-3 lbs. maybe 4 or 5 fish between 4 and 6 lbs a year.

I would try a zoom horny toad texas riged. Pull it through weeds or lillies, if there are any, they go crazy for it here.
