  1. thats exactly how i was thinking to rig it. it makes sence to have the 2nd fluke on the same main line as the 1st. in the video i saw it rigged diffrently witch created a split where the two flukes hung freely, i dislike that way of rigging due to the tangle of the two lines. and I wouldn't say it's the incorrect way, just a diffrent way.
  2. great thanks man, i'll check that out.
  3. I watched the "how to fish a double fluke rig" video and was wondering how to actually rig it. and when fishing it do the two flukes often tangle?
  4. yea man, discontinued. i had to get one on outletbait&tackle.com and one on ebay. Bomber makes some of my favorite lures.
  5. lol thanks me too
  6. yes it's an older model, discontinued actually. bill dance has a Fat A model. the only places you'll find them today are outlet type online stores and vintage ones on ebay.
  7. just ordered my Bomber "FAT A" anyone else have one? any likes or dislikes about the crankbait? I'm a bomber lure fan so i'm expecting good quality. can't wait for it to come in.
  8. thanks, all this info is great stuff
  9. cool cool thanks I'll try to see a video tutorial as well
  10. can anyone provide me with a detailed how to on casting with a fly rod? at work and don't have access to youtube...
  11. I have a 8bb shakespere agility spinning reel, its super smooth and is built to last. Great reel http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Fishing-Reels-NEW-SHAKESPEARE-AGILITY-AGL840-8BB-SPIN-REEL-/380954595362#ht_732wt_1118 here's one on ebay, if you can find it anywhere else that works too but i highly recommend it. wont break the bank either.
  12. when i buy reels i try to get rods i like that are in the same price range as the reel or vice versa. but thats just me. I like my set-up's components to be of equal quality.
  13. the reel's good, the rods junk. think about it, its a 50$ reel with a 10$ rod... basically.
  14. Hey man who wouldn't be about their trophy fish lol I'd be pretty upset too. thats why I'm leening tward skin mounts more. I still haven't made up my mind but if that site has good replicas then I MIGHT give them a try when the time comes.
  15. perfect!
  16. great, cool i just wanted to know the characteristics. I do understand that they vary from person to person due to prefrence. Knowing just helps me better select rods for particular uses.
  17. i've been researching and profishart.com has some on point replicas as well as skin mounts. check them out, it's the best i've found yet.
  18. yea man definately, thats probably where i'll look for higher end reels. if they're cheap i'll just buy them new.
  19. oh lol well nicer is just as good
  20. who can explain the diffrence in a casting rod, crankbait/jerkbait rod, jigging rod, flipping & pitching stick? in regourds to length, speed and action.
  21. yea man sure is haha i was thinking of gettion one of those.
  22. whats the best baitcaster you've got for 50$ or less? weather it be your first ever or just something you liked and gave a try. I can honestly say that I got my pfluger criterion for 50$ when i needed a reel desprately while on vacation and it feels as good if not slightly better than a lot of reels in the 100$ price range. I still have it to this day and still use it. 5bb and 6.3-1 ratio. A great buy for 50 bones.
  23. practice casting. and pick as many brains as possible (when welcomed to... dont want to annoy anyone)
